2000 polaris sportsman 500 running rich

Hey guys I just picked up a 2000 Polaris sportsman 500 and it seems like it's running rich. It doesn't smoke or bog or anything just has a gas exhaust smell to it when it's running. It doesn't make a difference weather it's idling or driving. It shows no signs of power loss or cutting out just stinks. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it to smell rich? I've already checked the air filter and it was clean. Thanks

That is one mean machine!

We’re not exactly sure if this militarized Polaris General is designed to work in the snow or the dirt, but from the looks of it, we’re not sure it matters. We wouldn’t have guessed that orange and camouflage could work together in a color scheme, but it definitely does, and this General definitely looks like it’s ready for battle.

RVS ECU Reflash Or Dynojet Power Vision CX

I've had my mind set since this past summer on doing a RVS ECU reflash to my 2015 Sportsman 850. I was waiting until holidays were over and I hit dead of winter and I dont ride.

When I went to RVS site today to refresh my memory on price & stages of ECU flash, there is a new option in the ECU tuning section - the Dynojet Power Vision CX. I dont recall seeing that there last time I was at the site.

The Dynojet looks to good to be true. Its cheaper, doesnt require me to take apart my atv to get to ecu, adjustable, looks to do everything the ECU flash does and then some.

Is there any reason I'd want the ECU flash over this? Anyone have one already and can comment on how well it works? I've searched the forums - I can't find anyone mentioning the Dynojet.

line with inline fuel filter but only one line in?

Hello,

im doing a minor rebuild and am looking over my new used wheeler for this year. its a 2005 sportsman 700 twin carb.

One thing that has me puzzled is that under the seat, towards the top of by the air intake is a clear tube with a small inline fuel filter , the line goes in to it but theres no line on the other end... the wheeler runs great but im thinking the other end fell out?.

Also going to what looks like the carb is a small line that goes to nothing seen from the drivers side and comes out the drivers side area where i found it loose when checking for disconnected lines.

If anyone has a wheeler or similar with the build help would be appreciated. The only 2 things i know i have left to do are fix the sloppy sifter and replace the armature plate so it will stay in 2x4 when tires spin.

If anyone has other things they recommend i should look at let me know. all cvs and bearings replaced, break cylenders and rear caliper replaced (rear caliper broken at bleeder valve oddly enough).

Im also needing a spring for the left side seat lifting bar (when looking at it upside down) if anyone knows where to get one.

I'll get pics of the lines in the morning.
