Tail Light Bulbs – Turn Signals?

My 2008 500 has tail lights with one big bulb and one small bulb in each. The big bulbs are on whenever it's running, and are also the brake lights when you pull on the brake handle. What the heck are the little bulbs for? The Polaris part description refers to them as turn signals. There ain't no turn signals, are there???

04 Outlander Electrical – Carb Heater? CDI?

2004 Outlander 400 Max wont start, no headlights, battery measures good, was running, lost power, now here. Measuring battery voltage, it drops to about 2V when key on in either starting position. Disconnected the positive wire that feeds the front half of the bike and is better, but no power to anything up front. Disconnected connectors to the front until the voltage did not drop with key on. The last one? The carb heater(s). Now key on only drops to ~10V.
All told, Speedometer, multi-switch, headlights, 4x4 switch, starter motor, transfer case control, 3 sensors on trans/motor, voltage reg (in rear), were all disconnected before carb heaters. When I hooked it back up with no carb heater connects. Same drop! 2V!
Help! The only thing I know of that I didn't disconnect is the CDI, which I could not recall where it is located. Can anyone help with the location of the CDI? Any other ideas where to look? It's about to snow and I need to plow!

Thanks,
Nim

LED or not LED

I know this was discussed before but I'm bringing it up again,
On my 2013 850 xp/ho/le, i cant use a light bar because of bumper mods, so I'm happy with just replacing the bulbs i got, it is a ge886 , but i read on here that the leds have no directional beam, so is that right or are they even worth changing

gas in crankcase: sportsman 700

hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I've got a 2003 Polaris sportsman 700 twin. I just bought it from somebody. a neighbor actually, so I got to just drive it down the road home. a few days later I went to start it and drive it around and it was bogging down, wouldn't really run. anyways I found like a quart or more of gas in the crankcase. it was blowing up thru the breather hose on the valve box into the air filter box. so I'm in the process of changing the oil and cleaning the carb to keep it from dumping fuel again. my main question is that I'm concerned about my bearings and pistons. I drove the thing maybe a mile when it had dumped the fuel, just trying to figure out what the prob was. is that enough time to do any damage? it ran fine when I parked it to work on it. just want to know if theres any concern for bearing and piston damage. and how to keep this fuel dump from happening again!! I'm guessing the float stuck? not sure tho. any comments would be awesome! thanks!

2nd rear calliper.

Has anyone fitted a second rear calliper?

I was shocked to find my 2016 xxc had only one rear calliper. It’s supposed to be well equipped?! And I actually would like a sharper rear brake if possible.

Has anyone ever replaced a carb with a efi unit on a 2013 sportsman 500 HO?

2005 Sportsman 800 Total Loss of Power

Newbie here, but I've searched and can't find anything related to my issue. I have a 2005 Sportsman 800 EFI that is totally losing electrical power. It doesn't seem to matter what the weather is, how long I've been riding, nothing. It will run for about a minute, then lose all power and die. After 30 to 45 seconds, it comes to life again and starts just fine. It does this over and over. The timing of these events seems very consistent, so I think it could be a problem with the ECM? Does anyone have any input on the issue?

Thanks!
