The season-opening MotoGP race in Qatar next weekend has been cancelled because of travel restrictions on passengers from Italy and elsewhere due to the coronavirus epidemic, MotoGP said on Sunday. The floodlit night race was scheduled for the Losail circuit on March 8. The joint statement by MotoGP, the governing FIM and teams' association IRTA said that as of Sunday all passengers arriving in Doha on direct flights from Italy, or who had been in Italy in the past two weeks, faced a minimum o

Harley-Davidson’s shares tumble on steeper fall in revenues

Harley-Davidson Inc on Tuesday reported a larger-than-expected decline in its motorcycles revenue hurt by a continuing slide in retail sales in the United States, sending its shares plunging in pre-market trade. The company said revenues at its motorcycles, parts & accessories and general merchandise segment fell an annual 8.5% to $874.1 million in the fourth quarter to end-December from $955.6 million a year ago. Harley's shares were last trading down 7.2% at $32.34 in pre-market trade.
