The 2018 ATV Motocross National Championship presented by CST Tires, an AMA National Championship, headed to South Carolina this past weekend, March 24-25. South of the Border Motocross (SOBMX) would play host to its first ATVMX National event, but after a cold front took over the east coast the warm temperatures riders had hoped for were nowhere in sight.
Last weekend, March 17th and 18th, marked the third round of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship. While Aonia Pass MX has been host to GNCCs since 2003, “The General” GNCC has been notably absent from the schedule for the last couple years. Many riders were pleased to learn that the series would again return to Washington, Georgia.
Round three of the 2018 Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship took place in Washington, Georgia at Aonia Pass MX on Sunday, March 18. A battle would ensue all day long between FMF/KTM Factory Racing’s Kailub Russell and Rockstar Energy/Factory Husqvarna Racing’s Thad Duvall.
The stage was set for another incredible round of the 2018 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA National Championship as the red clay of Georgia awaited round three, The Maxxis General. The series returned to a once annual stop on the circuit, which has plenty of history throughout its legendary clay, in Washington, Georgia.
Round two of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, an AMA national championship, took place this past weekend, March 10th and 11th in Palatka, Florida. For the fourth year in a row, the Hog Waller Mud Bog & ATV Park hosted the prestigious event, suitably named the “Wild Boar” GNCC. The 2-day event kicked off the 81st running of the famed Daytona Bike Week.
