I've gotten this message a couple of times now DESS Key not recognized. First time I had to relearn the keys and it did it again this week-end this time I just wiped off the key with alcohol and it worked. What is this a sign of to come? Key switch going bad or what.
Winch Locations High or low???
Ok have a new used 11 sportsman 500; it has a winch :grin (of course!); mounted low ; better for winching but not good in anything above 6" of mud, water, sand, dust, etc. ...sooooo question is; what's the conventional wisdom for the better winch location high or low? I've seen em mounted both high and low; and is it easy to change; in both locations on a 500???
DPS module
Looking for a little help as I can’t find much on here about the DPS module. I’ve read all other threads and the instructions suck! I’ve called two dealers about this, even the one I bought the DPS module from and neither one had a clue what I was talking about. They just asked me to bring the machine in.
I have a 2016 1000XMR outlander and I bought some Apache 360 tracks for her, I’ve installed the DPS module (I think) but I don’t believe the machine is reading it as my stock DPS keeps showing up on the dash when I try to switch my power steering level. My understanding is it was suppose to show up “tracks” on my dash and then I could switch to what level I would like, tracks dps MIN/tracks dps MED/tracks dps MAX. It’s not doing that. It just shows dps min/ dps med/ dps max.
If someone could show me a pic of theirs hooked up,that would be a start. Or if I’m even right about it showing “tracks” on the dash. Any help would be appreciated! Thx

Sportsman 1000 XP engine rebuild
I have a 2015 Polaris Sportsman 1000 xp , 110 engine hours and 1500 miles , found a lot of oil in my air box and have to add a full quart every 20 miles or so, tested compression to be 180 and 190, spec is 210 - 250, pulled motor and ripped it all apart and I got the pistons and seals, bearings, etc but my question is can you re-surface the cylinder walls? There looks to be a lip or indention of the top of both the cylinders
