hello i have a polaris sportsman 500 efi h.o x2 2007 and i had a problem with idle and backfiring. i took it to garage and they told me that were some broken cables and fixed them. the check engine is still on. i removed the + pole from battery for 5 minutes and connect again but still on. The atv is working fine. the only problem is that when i push the throttle fast the machihe close down especially when is cold. any ideas what to do?

Stuck Often
My son's 450 gets stuck every time we go out. The stock 24" tires are just too small. I've adjusted the preload on the rear shocks. The front struts have no spacers. I think a taller tire will make all the difference. We ride a mix of trails and mud. My wife and I ride a 570 SP Touring and our winch gets a workout every time we go out. Our SP has 26" and we fair much better than the 450 with the 24" tires. Any suggestions on a tire and height for my boy's Christmas present. Not looking to install a lift kit and start replacing axles. TIA

Clearly This Guy Doesn’t Understand What Hydroplaning Means + VideoWe can understand how the size of the tires on this old Honda three wheeler might lead this guy to believe that it could float, but that clearly isn’t the case. If he thought he’d have any chance of hydroplaning that thing he’s going to need a whole lot more speed. ATV.com recommends that ATV […] more
What are your winter Outdoor Storage solutions?; Covers?
Don't have room to bring my sportsman out of the rain into the 1 car garage; so looking for a better ways to create some dry storage; what Ive done so far is ...
Bought xl black nylon ATV cover that goes to the ground and covers the wheel wells; a small section of plywood covered with some waterproof roofing paper covers the tank and seat section underneath; added a 5' pc of 1x4 to hold the cover up between the ft light pod & rear rack to shed the rain & snow.
Other ways to protect it over the winter; (WD40 it all over?) or better storage method; asides building a shelter (or bigger garage) ...on the wet west coast ...
Cheers bc dave

2018 Can am 850xt first impression
First Can am owner here
Owned Brute forces, 750 King quads several Hondas
100 miles on my XT
Motor is superior, awesome power, fuel economy is far better than a Brute, heat output is same as Brute force, exhaust tone sounds like a Harley
Driveline is the weak link, very noisy gearboxes, clutches noisy
Nice bike overall, superior to a Brute force, Brute does have more low end power, Can ams throttle response is awesome.

2017 Outlander 1000R XMR – Amp mount location
Working to install speakers and an amp on a '17 Outlander XMR. I've mounted 6.5" wake tower speaker pods to the rad support tubing, but finding a good, dry spot to mount an amp is proving difficult. Anyone done this to an XMR, if so what amp did you use and where did you mount it?
New Carb = No Start
I have a 2001 Polaris Magnum 325 4x4. It was idling really high, lagging when you really got on the throttle, would backfire and just seemed to be running rich. I took the carb off, cleaned everything really well, new spark plug, drained fuel, fresh fuel, etc. No luck. Wouldn’t even start.
I bought a new carb. Installed it. With a quick shot of ether it fired immediately. But when the ether cleared it died. Wouldn’t continue to run. It has spark, fuel in the bowl of carb, plenty of compression, but somehow fuel isn’t making it to chamber. Pull plugs after turning it over and it is completely dry. I’ve exhausted myself and ever scenario at this point. Help!
