Hello Everybody:
I'm new to the forum, and have been reading some of the various threads. I see a lot of good answers to different rider's questions, and would like to ask for help on a few that I have.
At cold start up, my 2016 570 Sportsman EPS drive belt engagement from idle to first movement makes my rear tires "chirp". I now hold my brake lever on as tight as possible to eliminate this, but it still wants to engage so fast and hard that the tires chirp on my cement garage apron.
Can somebody tell me if they also experience this, and if I can do anything about hard belt engagement? I am always in high gear, or reverse when this happens. Is this normal? Should I not worry about it?
When the belt engages and the tires chirp, I also hear one loud "crack", which sounds like it is coming from the front end. Is this also normal, or do I have a problem? To date, and I have over a thousand miles on the ATV, I have not had a break down.
Also, at start up when the ATV is at normal operating temperature, I will sometimes hear a sound, like a musical tone coming from the dash area. I asked my dealer about it and they have had no experience with this from other customers. It did this last year, then stopped until this past weekend. I started the ATV up during a mountain ride, and this singing sound/tone came on. I had no choice but to ride it, and it eventually stopped after about an eighth of a mile. Has anybody experienced this?
I changed all of my fluids at 1,000 miles, so they are all fresh.
I'd appreciate any advise offered.
Griff
