Hi

New to the forum have a couple questions on a new 2018 Outlander max. The older reads have me a bit concerned about heat and melted plastic. My dealer claimed the heat issue had been fixed prior to the 2018s. I have roughly 7 miles on mine, every ride within .5 mile it is hot enough that that I cannot even adjust the rear shock on the exhaust side (fox podium qs3) without burns. What kind of heat can this shock take paint/performance wise and how long before the plastic melt issue would typically start?

Maybe I’m worried for nothing but this thing does get HOT!

Looking at a 2016 570 2-up, has only 500 miles on it. Is there or has there been any issues with this year and model of outlander? Any feedback would be appreciated thank you, FF.

Hello everyone hope all is good. Curious to know if anyone out there has installed the Superatv power steering kit on there Sportsman ? I'm in midst of trying to install on a 570 an was just wondering anything to look out for or if anyone that has done it could be so kind an throw out some tips or tricks they may of learned while installing. Hi all, brand new member here and im looking for some advice on my 2014 550 sportsman eps. To make a long story short i blew it up and decided to look on ebay for a new motor and found one at a private shop about 8 hours away and motor and install cost me about 2500 out the door. Well they didnt mention to me that it was a 500HO motor that they had installed until i asked them why it had a fouled plug when i did the 10 hour check up on it. And when i drained the oil it had a good amount of metal flake in it and they are now refusing to do anything about it. Oh and they went into the computer and messed with the injectors so i cant just get my old motor (i kept all the parts) properly rebuilt. Im confused as to what i should do if its worth having a shop reset the computer to stock settings and have my original motor PROPERLY rebuilt, or if i should just sell the bike for parts and get a brand new one. Im in college at the moment so money is a big factor. Any advice is more than appreciated and sorry for the long-winded story 🙂

This came off my 2011 Polaris sportsman 500. It was loose laying on top of the engine and I can’t figure out where it’s from. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hello all
I just installed a 7 inch Mictung led light flood and two Nilight 4 inch spot pods of my 17 450 ho. Something isn't right.

The lights (both lights) will dim and brighten randomly at lower rpms except running lights on the battery only. I don't call it flickering because flickering is quick.

I hooked the light up and the main terminal block, used a factory wiring harness. and switch. I even tried a different switch and harness, so that isn't the problem

I tested the voltage 13.6 to 13.8 running so it's got me stumped what is going on. I'm thinking it's not or reaching break even amps at lower rpms. I'm starting to question the regulator. If it has a has bad capacitor(s) this may cause this to happen.

Has anyone experienced this problem or similar when they installed Led lights on their Atv? What was causing the problem?

Hopefully someone here has an idea.

I posted in Purchasing and price, Probably General Dis a better place and I do not see how to delete other.
I am trying to find one to buy also and not sure of years and options.


1995 Boss, are they really 6 wheel drive??
I am under the impression the newer ones have went to 4 x 4 and 2 wheels to drag??
If so, what year did they go to 4 x 4??
Any pluses of older over newer??
The old beds seemed larger and side storage??
