Waterproofing my XMR questions

Ive always been a Brute guy and theres certain things I had to seal on it besides the snorkels, so i just got a 2018 XMR 850, is there anything that needs to be sealed or siliconed or is everything good to go on it before it gets wet!!

2003 sportsman 700 water pump

Hey all, posted awhile ago about coolant in my oil, think i found the problem, when i put a water pump kit in it i put the washer deal on behind the impeller with the rubber side in instead of out, well it chewed up the impeller on the inside and stuck the rubber part to the spring deal, pretty sure thats the prob, so now my question is can i replace the impeller and the washers thing i messed up only or should i do the seals to? thanks for any and all help...Bob

2014 Polaris 400 HO or 2018 Polaris 450

Trying to buy my fiance a new ATV I have it narrow down between a 2014 400 HO with 202 miles with a wench and its super clean for $3600 or a brand new 2018 450 HO for $4800 out the door. I would appreciate any opinion or input

Question about the scramblers 850xp 2013 and +

I was looking to buy a new scrambler but I dont really like the colors and I would prefer having EPS.

Only the 2013 has the EPS and a great color but here's my questions:

-Is there any major difference between the 2013 and the more recent scrambler?

-What is the main issue with the 2013? any fix needed? special maintenance?

-Is it a good idea?

Thank you

Heat on left leg

Last fall/winter I did quite a bit of work to my 6x6, pulled all the wheel hubs to grease the wheel bearing, changed all the bushing on the A-arms, adjusted the valves, replaced the front diff, put new belt on and cleaned and greased the 1-way bearing, and put new tires (ITP 27” Mud Lite XTR’s). But the thing that I really was interested in was the attempt to reduce the leg heat that most everyone complains about. I pulled the pipes/muffler and using a rattle can ceramic primer and ceramic paint, I painted them and followed the instructions to a “T” (baking them a high temps before re-installing), and then I wrapped them for good measure.
I was laid up in Feb due to a back problem, and finally in Apr they operated on my back, so I was unable to do any riding to observe the results until last week.
The results were not especially exciting. While I thought that my leg wasn’t as hot as before (which may have been just wishful thinking on my part), when we had gone about 20 mile, my brother (who has the same atv) used a digital heat gauge and measured the temp’s on both our machines and the temp’s on my atv were actually higher than on his. I know that it would have been better if I had measured the temp’s on my own machine before and after, but we all know that hind sight is 20/20 right. Anyway, the uptake of this is that the rattle can ceramic paint and wrapping the pipe did not provide the desired effect. For what it is worth, I would not recommend either procedure, the results do not justify the effort.
