does anyone know how i can come around that?

Tire options

So I have a Sporty 850SP, 2017 model. I swapped out the stock tires for some SunF AO33's, in 27x11x14 for the rear and 27x9x14 for the front.

They are very chunky and they have good grip and all, but they are very heavy. You can feel it going down the trail, how they are way out of balance at higher speeds, and I also noticed a drop in power and acceleration off the line.

Here are the tires and specs, although they do not list weight.

https://www.sunf.com/products/a033?variant=44857069069

I am considering going back to a stock sized 26" set of tires, but I want something that still grips well, rolls nicer and isn't as heavy. While I like the added clearance and grip of these things, I immediately noticed the drop in acceleration and handling became a little compromised.

I know that the stock Carlisles are pretty light, but they are not stellar in the grip dept.

I don't want to spend a ton of money, and I plan to sell these tires, probably to someone that has a larger UTV that won't notice the weight as much.

Suggestions? Also, does it make sense to get the same size tires all the way around? Maybe a 9" wide tire? The stock front is 8 and the rear is 10 wide, so while the back would be a little narrower than stock, the front would be a little wider. I am not worried about it making the steering heavier, as it has 9's on the front now and it's fine with the power steering.

Suggestions? My main goal here is to get my performance and handling back, even if that means I have to go back to stock ride height and lost a little grip...

Maybe the new Bearclaw EVO?

I took my tires off, and with the stock 14" aluminum polaris wheels, the fronts weigh 40lbs each, and the rears are 46lbs each. Not sure how much of that is wheel weight, but the aluminum wheels should be fairly light, no?

The bottom line is that I currently have 172lbs of wheels and tires to turn, and these 27's are pretty damned tall, thus raising my gearing from stock.

Low gear easily and happily breaks 30mph, which I don't know is "normal".

I just need light weight, better than stock, in the stock height to restore my acceleration and handling...

Suggestions?

Upgrading 2018 Outlander 570 XT

Hey guys, I’m new to Can Am, and I’m wanting to do some upgrades/modifications to my Outlander.

1. Snorkel- Has anyone snorkeled it yourself? If so, could you point me in the right direction?

Or do y’all use the snorkel kits? Also, if so, would y’all mind posting links to good ones?

2. Lift- My Outlander has the adjustable shocks to where it can raise up 1.5” or go down 1” or so.

Has anyone had any issues with leaving the shocks raised up with the stock wheel/tire?

Has anyone put on the 2” lift kit? And/or used the lift kit with the adjustable shocks raised? (~3.5” lift basically? I’m not sure if that would even be safe with the axle)

Has anyone used the “arched” or “high clearance” A Arms?

3. Wheels/Tires- Wheels I’m not too worried about, tires are the first thing I’m wanting to get, mine are currently 25x8x12 and 25x10x12. I’m wanting to go up to 27-28” tires if it’s not gonna rub or need much trimming.

I’m debating on Super Swampers, Assassinators, outlaws, black mombas, or Interforce.

4. Misc- If I’m planning on mudding and riding trails, what else would y’all recommend? Higher handlebar? Extra storage? Like I said I’m new to the Can Am and want to get out there and ride and have a good time without having to worry about simple things.

Thanks in advance!

Electrical/Winch Issue

Hello guys,,was taking winch solenoid AND the positive wire off to get to ignition coil,,I accidentally dropped the pos wire on one of the winch nuts on the solenoid,,sparks flew for a few seconds of course. Melted the boot some on the pos wire & fried that nut just a little.
I put most things back,,started machine & checked all things worked,,didn’t check winch tho,,, & they did,,turned machine off, thought I avoided any major probs happening.

I was then gently pushing some wires up out of the way by the solenoid & the winch came on out of nowhere! WTH did I hit that caused this to happen? By the time I got the battery undone the cable had become wadded up in knots,,can’t pull it out & the winch doesn’t work now,,it “clicks” when ya push switch one way, that’s it. Machine runs fine & all else seems to be OK.

Alright,,,what have I done here?:sad is the winch done? Oh,,& I see no fuses seem to be blown

Sorry for the long winded post
