2018 850 xt+elkas or XTP ?

2018: Should I get a 850 xt + buy elka shocks, or just get the xtp with the fox?

1900$ price diff. elkas are 1500. 400 left (pays for beadlocks, gauges, etc...) buying separate wheels would cost me 6-700$ so if I want good shocks and beadlocks, better with the xtp I guess?

So what should I get?

(regarding the 850 vs 1000, imo, 850 is plenty of power and I don't really see why I would need a 1000.... at that point IMO it's just better if I get skids +windshield instead....) opinion?
I mostly do slow trail anyway...

ECM hot and melting Trail boss 330 ’03

Hi. I have a polaris trail boss 330 from 2003. Bought it used half a year ago. Running great. Had some issues the last weeks, where i started to smell like hot electronics or plastic.noticed the plastic covers on the side had touched the exhaust an melted a bit. But it continued. One day i noticed some smoke coming from the front. Just a little. I then pulled of the front plastic cover and saw, that what I believe is the ECM was smoking from "inside" and the plastic in there was melted along with the connectors being fried. It stopped when I stopped the machine from running. Have then seen the same issue again.

I noticed a recall on the ECMs from that period and I have writen Polaris here in Denmark to find out if my bike is covered.

What else could be the cause of this? Is there something I should check?
Engine hot light doesn't work and I have never heard the oil cooler fan running. Read some where that this could be related to faulty ECM as well. Also some two times I have experienced that I could start the bike and ride it for 30 mins and stop and then I could not start again, because there was not enough power to turn the motor round. Charging for 15mins made it start. Don't know if this gives any clues.

Thanks in advance.

Just curious if anyone had a 2004 outlander 400 repair manuel they would be willing to share? Saw some older download links but they are all dead now.

2012 800 xmr Front diff leaking

So, I have a 2012 outlander xmr. Noticed the front diff starting to weep a little bit around the input side of the drive shaft. I got the new seal and the speedy sleeve. My question is does the speedy sleeve simply go on OVER the wear ring or do I need to remove it prior to installing the speedy sleeve. Forgive me if this is a dumb question. Thanks

2015 front diff. Rebuild kit?

So my front diff. gearbox seems to leak out the input shaft seal after I run it in 4x4. I developed a small puddle after plowing snow this past winter. After that I was able to plow the rest of the year while leaving it in 2 wheel. The input shaft seems to have a lot of wobble to it! So now I'm looking to rebuild the front diff. is there any rebuild kits available that are beefier than stock. I bought my 2015 used with low miles, but the previous owner ran it through a lot of swampy stuff ,so I think he may have abused the 4x4 while trying to get through some thick stuff! Any advise will be appreciated!
