So I just got the bike on Saturday, have put about 20 miles on it just riding in my yard and a couple runs up the road, when I first put the green key in I thought it was good for my wife or my 14yr to ride on, put I ran it around the woods a little bit myself on the green key, what a dog, it does go 46, but it almost feels like its running on 1 cylinder, I have a 16 sportsman 570 and it would smoke this 1000 with the green key.
My neighbors 16 xt-850 has a grey and black key, it feels the same performance wise on both keys, just limits speed. At this point I really don't see a performance advantage over the 850, honestly it may feel a little slower, I guess my machine may need a little more break in time and it is a little heavier, but its supposed to be 14 more hp, I think his is rated at 75hp, we will have to do a drag race soon.
I do like the ride quality better than my Polaris, however the engine breaking is a little aggressive, I went down a small incline and was off the throttle and the rear tires locked up, I prefer how the Polaris acts going down a hill it will roll until you bump the throttle then it will slow down but not lock up the tires, definitely surprised me.
