Hello all,

First post here. As the title states i am having a problem. A friend picked up an 11 850 xp all stock and blew the neck off the front diff apart almost immediately. He stated he wasnt in 4wd when this occurred too which makes things interesting. I removed the diff and took it apart for him, the ring gear was chipped so that was replaced along with all new bearings, seals, and upgraded to an aluminum cage. The plastic one was not broken fyi. The armature is also in good shape.

So long story short, clean it all up, inspect, and rebuild and install. He also opted for a billet pinion cover as he broke the ADC neck.


Now after all this when the unit is in on the lift its acting as its in 4wd even with the rocker in 2wd. Also i unplugged the diff connection plug and the same result. Has anyone had this happen? Im scratching my head on this one. I took the diff back apart to double check everything and everything is as it should be. Has anyone had any issues with the male and female cup bushing wearing to the point where it will bind and do this?

Also should i have to reset the back lash preload since i replaced the ring gear? The manual states only when the cover is replaced. I am also going off an 09 manual and the internals are definitely different.


getting frustrated and wanting to get this resolved any help is appreciated.

Anybody have issues with the 2018 X3 RC pulling to the right side. I checked tire pressures and am running factory specs.

my 07 renegade just don't seem to have the power it used to..its been well took care of an as far as i know it's a sound machine, but I can't get above 40 mph and it makes a loud noise that sounds so crazy I dont push it...an for the life of me I can't pin point where the noise is coming from for sure...it should do 60 no problem right ?

So I have two 2004 trailblazer 250's that are in need of new plastics. One was beat the S:)& and the other I threw away before realizing how valauable they are.

Do any of you have suggestions on where to get used or new plastics from? I have been checking craigslist and the Facebook marketplace but no luck so far. Also eBay usually only has models from the 90's.

I appreciate any feedback you can provide!

New to the Can-Am game, Picked up a 2013 1000 XMR with 80 miles on it, the dude used it plow his driveway, to do this he added a Two Brothers exhaust & passenger seat. I live in Montana and it will be trail riding not mud. Will probably trade out tires for better trail/rock/snow tires. Not my first choice but he sold it cheap or should I say his wife sold it cheap!
My concerns after reading some posts is the exhaust temps with after market exhaust. Is there a need to add a fuel programmer to lower the temps or do the fuel programmers really work that well ? I live at 5300 ft so riding will be at that elevation or higher.

And I did it like on this picture but now you can turn it on all the time even without key. My question is

1. How to wire it so you can only turn it on when the key is in the ignition and you have contact on?

I just bought my sportsman 500 runs awesome but when it gets wet it won't start I ohm every thing it's all at specs if set under cover 3 days it will start any body have any ideas

im looking at a set of used tires, and i was curious if i could get away with putting 12" wide tire on a 7" wide rim? i have no clue how wide is too wide thank you for the help

Had one of the electric fans go out on my 850. Pulled it apart to see one of the magnets broke and it burned up the brushes. Is there an aftermarket fan or can I buy just the motor instead of paying the $178 for a new one?
