So I recently acquired a 2001 Scrambler 90 that was traded in for next to nothing non-running. I’ve run in to an issue and I’m stumped. The atv idles smooth but won’t take throttle and bogs. It stays running and will accelerate without any load (wheels off ground) but it bogs even with moving just it’s own weight. Carb cleaned (multiple times) and checked out - I even swapped with another carb I acquired and same symptoms. Stator checks out - checked gap on pickup. Tried running from a remote fuel tank to eliminate fuel supply issues - same symptoms. New plug. Low RPM tab was removed from CDI. Compression is solid (115) Looking for insight/ideas. Thanks!

xp 1000 idle lopes when on high idle!
Ok so my atv has had a small lope when on cold idle occasionaly if I blip the throttle when it's doing this it seems to clear up, no engine lights no driveability concerns. Do notice it does take a extra cranking when cold, I'm leaning towards a tps issue? Or an iac, And I'm really hoping not signs of a timing gear spun, I currently have 2900 miles and 189 hours,

Cherry Creek NV
In September of 2017 myself and two friends traveled to Cherry Creek NV. We loaded the quads, my 16 Sportsman Touring 1000, a 2000 Polairs Sportsman 500 and a 2002 Grizzly 600 and headed into the mountains.
We established a base camp on BLM land about five miles north and 4000 feet higher than the town. From there we made daily trips that included some private ranch lad (with permission), the Pony Express trail and established trails through BLM land.
We rode the Pony Express Trail out to Butte Station. Butte was a former PE station that had been overrun by Indians twice. There we sat under Juniper trees and watched three different groups of mustangs come into water at a natural spring.
Overall a great trip, we saw no other riders and the few local people we did see we very friendly.

Speed vs RPM’s
I have a 1000 Highlifter and am thinking about getting a power commander which will remove the rev limiter at 7500 rpm. What is the redline for the regular 1000 or what rpm are you at when going 60mph?
