I have a 2016 sportsman 850sp. I've notice these past few rides it has a bit of a rattle/chatter. Seems like a loss of power not alot though. Iam going to swap plug and check the belt when it warms up a bit. And want to check/ adjust the valves since its getting close to 100hrs.. and 1600km. My question is how to i go about doing this? I would like to do this myself has it's a bit of a hassle to bring it in. Any information would be appreciated thanks.
Turf Mode
Howdy, new to the forum. Purchased a 570 X2 last fall and had a few problems with it related to the rectifier going out. Only took one night ride (using the headlights) to drain the battery way out in the boonies... leaving me stuck with a quad that wouldn't start.
Anyhow, Polaris took good care of me once I got it into the shop, and all is well looking forward to riding season again.
Been reading on other forums about the Turf Mode control solenoid going out because of a faulty design which can leave the rear end permanently clicking in and out of turf mode.
Has anyone with a Sportsman experienced this? I only use turf mode when I ride short distances on pavement. I had hoped this would be a great option to decrease tire wear. Sure hate to hear about this after having spent the last few months waiting on parts to fix the rectifier... has anyone experienced this or is it more with the Generals etc?

Winter Riding – No Brakes
Has anyone else had this problem? This is my second Canam but my first Gen 2. Both my Gen 1 and this Gen 2 suffer greatly from a lack of brakes when bombing around through the snow and cold. I ended up in a pretty serious accident on my Gen 1 machine due to the brakes not working as they should have. This weekend after spending the entire day riding in snow that was 2-3 feet deep I lost all braking..... both when applying by hand or by foot. Does anyone have a fix for this issue? Before anyone says "change the brake-pads"..... I changed them out when I purchased the machine and it's wearing Race Driven pads which work fine. The brake reservoirs are also full.
570 SP or non SP with EPS as backup machine?
Thinking of getting a low cost 570 for family members to ride when they come to visit and to be my "sporty" bike for running down the local ditches, jumping some small approaches that kind of thing.
The 1000 touring is better suited for long distance trail cruising vs messing around. Plus we all know the issues the XPs have with spinning tires engaging the front diff unintentionally.
Finally, I really want my dad to go riding with me this year as he is getting older and his solo riding days are numbered. It would be easier to have a second machine than have to haul his sxs 400 miles 1 way to join me.
For those that have them (or preferably both so you can do a comparison) is there a big difference in ride quality and which would be better suited for playing around with in a more sporty capacity?

Packed ice removal tool
Hello and greetings from Finland. This is my first post on this forum. ?
Has anyone made a scrape of some kind or any other type of tool to peel off packed ice from the ground? I really could use some ideas to make one. I'm able to do pretty much anything in my workshop but I just don't have any good ideas.
I have a new sportsman 570 eps is it too light to do something like this for example?

With a smaller blade maybe?
Thanks!

How much PSI do I need to blast off mud?
New to the sport and just got my new Maverick completely mudded up. I want to get a power washer to blast it off but not sure what the minimum PSI necessary would be.
I found this one on amazon pretty cheap but not sure if it is strong enough to do the job: Sun Joe SPX200E 1350 PSI 1.45 GPM 10-Amp Electric Pressure Washer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MUDYWI2..._iocLAbQ43NVBX

OEM 570 clutch question
Alright so I messed up this weekend when I was putting my new Dalton spring in my clutch. Everything went smoothly, removed the primary bolt and washer grabbed the primary and it wouldn't budge. thought I was missing something wiggled and pulled and nothing. Finally I put some real oomph into it and it let loose, I went flying back and it hit the ground. no damage to the unit but I saw a thin shim laying on the ground. No idea if it goes bolt-washer-shim-primary or if the shim was inside to keep the primary farther out like Bolt washer primary shim spring. I watched every youtube video I could find and no one seems to mention it. Any help would be great.
