Is the xmr gade really as stiff as everyone is saying?

So let me start off by saying that yes I've read the negative comments about trail riding an xmr renegade but is it really that bad? Has anyone here actually replaced the shocks because the ride is that uncomfortable?. I'm asking because I'm buying a new quad in the next couple weeks and it's narrowed down to the renegade xxc or xmr.. I'll be 60 percent trails 40 percent mud but I love the looks of the xmr a lot more. Price doesn't matter that much but I don't want a sore back after a couple hours of trail riding. Anyone with experience trail riding their xmr would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

2010 sportsman 550 Roll over

We rolled the quad over and it landed upside down. It was upside down for about 10 minutes. There was oil draining on the ground before we could get it right side up. We turned it back over and brought it to the garage. Removed the spark plug to check if there was oil in the cylinder. Plug was clean and dry. Tried to crank the engine and noticed that the Check Engine Warning indicator was on. Looked in the manual and it stated: "This indicator appears if an EFI-related fault occurs. Do not operate the ATV if this warning appears. Serious engine damage could result. See your dealer."

I really do not want to take it to the dealer if it is something that I can take care of myself.

Suggestions?

Need help with this dumb machine

This thing is getting increasingly irritating. take one step forward and two steps back kinda thing. Very long story short, machine would overheat randomly and the fan would sound really weak and after a while it stopped coming on all together, so it always goes into limp mode, to the point where i bought a radiator temp gauge rather than actually fixing the problem. Anyways it has a new fan on it (i tested it on a battery it works fine) Brand new battery (expensive $200 interstate) i've checked the fuse and relay in the front fuse box and they are good, if i have it running and i unplug the temperature sensor on the motor it goes into limp mode but does NOT turn the fan on, in my understanding if its the sensor if you unplug it the fan will come on correct? Help would be appreciated. Also does anyone know if i can buy a good quality rear diff plug? i bought one from canam and $30 later for a tiny plug, they shipped it in the worlds smallest bag, the size of the plug and it got lost. My original one stripped out and is stuck in there, still dont know how im getting that out yet, probably a screw extractor kit. Anyways thanks for reading, any help appreciated.

Burning thru Winch Rope – Advice needed

Hello, I am looking for some expert advice on what I might be doing wrong with my ATV winch rope setup. I use this for plowing snow in the winter. So far this winter we've had minimal snow so I haven't had to use the setup much, probably have an hour total of plowing. The issue is that the winch rope wears out very quickly. With one hour total of use and probably a few dozen ups and down of the plow blade, I am seeing significant wear on the rope. My setup is a warn winch, synthetic winch rope, Viper hawse fairlead which is brand new, warn plow steel plow blade. Attached are some pictures of my setup. Am I doing anything wrong? Anything I should do differently?
Thanks in advance!

Elka stage 2 vs stage 3

Ok guys I’m sure this has been talked about before but I’ve looked and couldn’t find what I was looking for. I am looking to upgrade my shocks on my 13 outlander 800 max xt but I can’t decide which ones to go with I’m budgeted at $1500. I currently ride 40% 2up and 60% single and usually ride pretty fast and hard when I’m by myself. I’m trying to get rid off my front nose dive and the pogo stick effect in the rear but I don’t know what is more important rebound setting or low speed compression I’ve thought about doing stage 2 rear and stage 3 front. I’d like your guys input.

Help

Any one ever had any problems with the voltage regulator and stator on sportsman 450ho or 570? Thanks in advance!

Code 1268 3 could use a hand

I have a 2017 570 that the engine will die and this code shows up. Says short or high voltage for code. If I shut off bike it starts right back up but will die after a few minutes. If I look at voltage on cluster it says 12.1 volts without engine running. After I start it the voltage changes constantly. As low as 10.5 and as high as 15.2. Going to try to attach a video. Any help would be appreciated I’m thinking regulatator but I don’t know the bike well enough to diagnose. Well looks like I can’t add a video through Tapatalk but voltage changes every couple seconds. It’s all over the place
