2011 650 XTP, Front Diff question
OK, this is post #1 for me here.
I've worked on cars a lot, but this is my first ATV/bike, though I've ridden (friends') for a long time...
I found a really good deal (we'll see) on a low-hour 2011 Outlander 650 XTP.
Story has it, it was mostly used for snow-plowing, which is why there is corrosion on quite a few of the bolts.
It does show signs on the frame bottom having hit some stuff, but definitely not what I would call bad.
I bought a Ricochet skid plate set and put it on yesterday.
While I had the front end way up in the air, working on the bottom, my front diff started "oozing" fluid out along the front drive shaft.
Is this "normal" when you have the front end lifted up near vertical ? (ZERO drips when level.)
- or is this the first sign of a worn/scored wear sleeve & seal that need replaced ?

Anybody Riding in Arkansas this weekend?
Looking for some good place to ride this weekend
To Snorkel -or- not to Snorkel
I have a 2018 Outlander 1000 XXC. I’m debating if I should snorkel it. I don’t plan on ever taking it swimming I ride mostly trails and occasionally like to play in the mud. I have gone through puddles or water crossing that are over the floor boards.
My main concern is keep the CVT dry. As far as I know everything else is high enough not to cause issues (correct me if I’m wrong here). What does everyone recommend?
Thanks
