Water pump impeller

Need help!! I’m replace the water pump seal and oil seal and I’m having trouble with the water pump impeller. Does anybody know for sure if the nut on the end of the crank shaft is reverse thread and also when I try to take the nut off it just spins the crankshaft which turns the motor. I’m working on a 2005 Polaris Ranger 500 which I’m told is the same as the sportsman’s. Any help would be great I really don’t want to pay to have it worked on. Please and thanks

2011 650 XTP, Front Diff question

OK, this is post #1 for me here.

I've worked on cars a lot, but this is my first ATV/bike, though I've ridden (friends') for a long time...

I found a really good deal (we'll see) on a low-hour 2011 Outlander 650 XTP.
Story has it, it was mostly used for snow-plowing, which is why there is corrosion on quite a few of the bolts.
It does show signs on the frame bottom having hit some stuff, but definitely not what I would call bad.

I bought a Ricochet skid plate set and put it on yesterday.
While I had the front end way up in the air, working on the bottom, my front diff started "oozing" fluid out along the front drive shaft.

Is this "normal" when you have the front end lifted up near vertical ? (ZERO drips when level.)
- or is this the first sign of a worn/scored wear sleeve & seal that need replaced ?
