I'm trying to take off my primary clutch and it's spinning off again the bar I have in there to hold it when I turn the clutch puller bolt.

The back plate is still spinning as the clutch spins off so I'm not putting any pressure against the crank.

I can get my clutch puller out and screw the front the front of the clutch back on, but have no idea how to secure the entire thing now to get the puller to do it's job.

Has anyone experienced this before?

2011 Polaris 500 HO. Was plowing snow when I noticed a loud knocking noise coming from front end when in AWD, doesn't do it in 2X4. In very low speeds in AWD doesn't seem to happen either. Where should I start?

I searched the threads and all of the battery posts seems quite old. I have a 2012 850xp and I need to replace the battery. Are there any options available that are decent besides the Odyssey battery? The cheapest I can find it is 165 bucks. I am hoping for something AGM for $100 or less? I can't seem to find out what size battery will fit. So does anyone have any new Odyssey alternatives? Something stronger than stock but not crazy expensive.

Hello everyone. This board is pretty quiet and dead. Thought I'd start a topic and see what everyone has added to their Defender. Let's hear what everyone has done to improve their Defender.

So far for me, I've added the following OEM accessories on my 2017 HD8:

Roof
Front bumper
Front corner protectors
Under seat storage bins. (2)
On dash storage bin/tool box
Street legal kit

Wish/future list:

Windshield. Full fold down
LED bar on front bumper
Side mirrors
Half doors(way in the future....very expensive!) :eek


Looking forward to many years of enjoyment. Have discovered this to be a very expensive hobby! But it's fun!! :grin.

I have checked to see if any wires broke and non are
I checked to see if the magnets working in the hubs and they are
The clutches are both free and looks to be in good condition.

Any answers on this

Hello I am looking at a 2018 defender max xt hd8 and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some questions? I made a mistake and bought a Yamaha Viking in June and looking to replace. I just some questions answered I can’t seem to find on the internet

Has been very cold here for the area lately ... in the last 10 days or so down to -8 or -9F. Have also had some warmer weather. Yesterday we got 6" of snow. Needed the winch to work to make use of the plow on the ATV.

Temp was 15F. After a bit of hassle the 2007 Sportsman 500 EFI did start. Trying to get the blade to lower resulted in only the solenoid click. Needed to do something so ran up and down the 150 yard gravel driveway some. Then tried the winch and it did let the blade down so I cleared the driveway ... but the winch would not lift the blade. No solenoid sound.

Bike was not covered during the snow. Never is.

Any thoughts as to how to go about figuring out the problem. The maintenance manual is not very good in this neck of the woods.

Supposed to get to 35F tomorrow and 50F on Friday.
