engine noise

Hi
just wondering I've read a few posts and some say the polaris engine is so different from others and better though the when reving up the engine in low or high gear it tends to have that type of ticking sound coming from the right side of the motor where the pull start cord is, why is polaris the only one that I've read that does that.
I stopped by my local can am dealer to see if they had any oil and they were using one of their machines to pull a jet ski on trailer. no abnormal noise from it like I hear from mine.
is there something I can add to oil to soften the noise?

Looking at picking up a ’12 Outlander 650 XT. Price right?

Found a 2012 Outlander 650 XT on Craigslist listed at $7500. It looks to be in like new condition with only 250 miles on it. Never trail ridden. NADA values it at $5550 average retail. I talked the guy down to $7k so far but that really doesn't seem like quite the right price yet because it's so far off NADA value. It's Hard to find comparables with such low mileage. Maybe im the one that's off here and that low of mileage and like new condition do warrant such a high price tag. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated to help me pull the trigger or keep Looking! Thanks in advance!

2017 Sportsman 1000 xp

Just got my new Sportsman 1000 xp and I must say I am very very happy with the new machine !

The bike sounds really good from factory I was surprised. The suspension is super smooth and confortabe to drive. The seat is soft an squishy. I think the new body looks awesome.

When I first drove the bike I thought, holy..smokes.. why did I buy a machine with sooo much power, best part tho it has a work, standard an performance mode!

Traded in my 2017 highlighter for this new xp, very happy with the new bike. Polaris really done a good job on this one.

I put 28 inch roctanes on haven't drove them yet curious what there gunna be like, the clutch felt perfect before dunno yet if I'm going to have to address the clutch with the bigger tire's. I also got a split dual slip on exhaust made by rjwc coming in a few weeks. Not sure yet if I'm going to need a tuner.

That bike has a surprising amount of storage from factory was happy about that. The light's are really bright. The brakes are really strong.

I really didnt like my highlifter and I hoisted my opinon on the bike but I must say I really give Polaris a 10 out of 10 on this hot rod an I'm not just sayin that because I bought one !

Only thing I didnt like that I noticed is the same pinion plate is on the new bike that previouse years have had problems with. I expect to brake axles but will replace with demon axel's once I cross that bridge.

Gunna be a fun weekend !
