16′ outlander XMR 1K winch questions

Hey guys I have a 2016 outlander 1000 XMR

Winch issue is today was the first day I put into freespool , needed a good bit of cable and went to go back and engage and will not budge. Very little water riding so it not abused and only used like 4 times and today was the first time in free spool:/
I pulled clip ring and the cover off and it spotless no mud, and I see nothing visibly wrong .

I looked at the winch and it's a BRP oem warn PROvantage 3000...

I'm sure they are the bottom of the barrel but Warrenty do they have? Is it thru warn or can am? I would assume 1year electronic and limited lifetime parts?

Time to buy a warn winch not a BRP included warn winch bahahaha

Please tell me thoughts, I hate problems.

I have a buddy with a brand new warn provantage 3500 synthetic winch in the box he paid like 600 I think and told me 400 cash

Lmk thoughts, ideas , etc thanks

Polaris ATV Quality?

I am having real problems with new Polaris ATV's. I bought these all new,

2016 850 Sportsman - Very hot melted side plastic, no power steering, nearly impossible to shift and fuel gauge didn't work. Traded it in.

2017 850 Sportsman Touring - Fuel pump over heats (Replaced fuel tank) Replaced primary clutch bearings 3 times. Fuel pump overheated again last week so I'm taking it back in.

2017 1000 Sportsman - Fuel gauge didn't work and fuel pump over heated. Replaced fuel tank 3 times. Rear wheel bearings replaced and new front shock. Power train is now very loud so it's going back in.

Has Polaris given up on ATV's and concentrating on RZR. The repairs have been under warranty but that's about over. My family has bought 14 Polaris ATV's over the last 4 years but after these last 3, I may change brands. Anyone else having quality issues like I am?

6×6 heat shield possible problem

The heat shield (P/N: 715003431) that Can Am made for the 6x6 by the muffler that was for excessive heat on the bed and included a heat shield to protest the exposed gas tank. Well it turns out the shield installed by the gas tank can cause another problem, and that is it rubs against the gas tank and may rub all the way through. I am doing some maintenance and when removing the muffler, I saw that the shield had rubbed a gouge about ½” long and maybe 1/8” deep. It will be an easy fix to trim the shield back about 1” so it can’t touch the gas tank, and I will fill the gouge with epoxy but I thought it was worth mentioning to all 6x6 owners if they have that heat shield installed to check it.

2017 Polaris Sportmans 1000

I have been going back and forth with the dealer now for 1 week. I got the phone call yesterday and the manager told me out the door 11000.00 OTD. Is it worth it ? OR Should i drive 5 hours north of me to get the same bike for 10,700 ? I am really excited to purchase this beast. Thanks guys.

Help !! Won’t re start and no codes

Hi I'm new to the forum and to can am. So far I'm impressed. I have a 2007 outlander 500. The problem is : it starts and runs perfectly but if I turn the engine off it will not re-start til the entire display goes off. Otherwise the check engine light comes on and won't go off until you let it shut down completely. I've checked for p codes and it says " active p codes check engine end "
Nothing else is displayed have not been able to find a code. It does the same thing if the engine isn't started but just the key turned to the start position and turned off check engine light back on. Any help is appreciated
