Rugged Beach Buggy: Modded MondaysThat’s no VW bug, that’s another insane custom Polaris RZR from the minds at Rugged Radios. From the metal flake paint to the custom PRP seats, this RZR screams beach buggy and in our opinion, it’s one of the coolest custom builds we’ve seen from Rugged Radios to date. So I decided to post up in case anyone was on the fence about getting spending the money on a Reflash. I'll say this, it's absolutely amazing!
I have the Stage 2 reflash from RVS Performance on my Touring . I have a GSE exhaust and a QSC clutch kit, paired to 26" Roctanes. Pin the throttle, and the 1000 comes alive instantly. If the rear tires hook up, the nose will go in the air, and if your not careful it will go over on you.
Mid range is where this baby shines! The mid range has gobs of torque and on the trails 1/4- 1/2 throttle is all you can use and you better hang on tight, she pulls really hard!
Top end gave me about an extra 500rpm and 80mph. I think the top end was a little low due to the heavy Roctanes. I think with a lighter tire could have seen 83-85mph... it's plenty fast and really worth the money. You can really feel the extra torque!
The machine runs cooler, and seems to also run smoother at an idle. I run 93 octane and temps never see over 187*- 190* during the hot summer months and the fan will bring it back down to around 175* or so. Before I was constantly over 200* and my exhaust was an oven without the rear seat on. It runs much cooler now.
I was worried about reliability and it seems just as good as stock, if not even better. I have about 600 miles on the reflash now...
It's also really smooth and mellow when cruising, or pulling the kids around in the wagon, or chores around the property. Most normal riding you really forget that it's even there until you crack that throttle open.
Just thought I'd give my input... hope this helps

All guages go off winch will not work lights will not work until you turn key off and back on and it does the same thing. I can turn key on and lights work winch works gauge lights work until you start and it will run maybe 3 seconds and here we go again. Has new gas full. Have had my battery tested,it's fully charged. Any ideas please. Thank you

Just picked up a 2002 Sportsman 700 today. The previous owner stated he had replaced the front diff cage and bearings along with a tune up. It needs the boot between the air box and carb replaced too. So far I've run into an issue with the 4WD not engaging. The light in the switch lights up but thats about all I can tell is happening. The speedo lights up, reads the correct gear and toggles through hours and miles with no problem. Of course the P.O. didn't have any manuals so still trying to figure out the different settings in the speedometer too. As far as the 4WD, is there a good way to test if the right front speed sensor is working or if there is a way to test the wires to the front diff? Other things to check while I'm in there?
Hello, I'm Eric, just joined the forum and just bought a 2002 Sportsman 700. The Sportsman has a few issues that I've found so far and looks like there has been others with similar issues as I am having. Thanks for letting me join.
