Brand new 17 850xt problems

So yesterday i bought a new 2017 outlander 850xt. Took it for a little ride today with the wife about 3 hours. After the ride i went down to my neighbors house to show him the bike and going down his steep driveway (about 10mph)the bike backfired/popped a little and died IMMEDIATELY. Seen the check engine light flash quickly. Kinda pissed as i rolled down to his front porch on a dead bike... so i let it sit for 20 minutes or so while i talked to him and tried to start it. Hit just a little then after a minute nothing.. had him tow me back to the house with his kabota utv disconnected the battery for a few tried to start again and NOTHING. Won't hit at all. Bike has 57 miles and 3 hrs on it. Dealer is 4 hours away. So any ideas of anything else simple to check before i haul it back and dump in the parking lot would be a GREATLY appreciated! My previous 12 800r had zero issues.

Rubbing inside of clutch/belt cover

1997 Xplorer 300:

Apologies for not removing the clutch/belt cover before hand. It maybe obvious once it's removed.

I noticed the other day after shutting off the engine that there was a noise coming from the engine. Today I started it up and got closer to the engine and could hear something rubbing against the plastic centrifugal clutch cover, right where the centrifugal clutch is located. When I shut the engine off, it sounds worse for about 1 second. It's a metal to plastic noise.

I have not had a chance to pull the cover but once I do what would I find? My guess would be the centrifugal clutch has backed off the engine. Perhaps the bolt that holds it on has worked loose?

Otherwise the clutch does not slip.

Anybody ever had this happen before?

2015 570 sportsman VR connetor

I have a 2015 and a 2016 570 sportsman EPI

Battery not charging , took it in they found the connector between
the Volt Reg and the Stator was melted / damaged
VR bad / Stator bad Battery not good 1600$ to repair !!!

I have not seen it yet

They think the connector might have gotten water in it and shorted
I thought they were WATER PROOF ???

Anyone had a problem with connectors on these machines ? Is this a common issue ?? what's to say it wont happen again ??
is 1600 in line for this repair ..... At a Polaris dealership ...

Bike has no power after washing, deep holes, etc..

2017 outlander 1000 xmr, ripped the spark plug boot when pulling it out the first time, could this be my problem? If so, how do you change it? Should the wires just pull out with force? Or is there cutting involved? Sure hope not..

Just wanted to post a snap shot of the top speed on my 2017 Renegade 850. My power mods are a Dobeck EJK tuner and a universal slip-on exhaust with baffle installed. I hit 79mph before backing out of it. This thing is fast!!
