xmr dying out in mud, and broke shifter

Just got back from a great weekend of riding at muddy bottoms atv park in LA. Had a great time but having a couple problems with her. It is a 2017 XMR 570.

First problem is that when in deep mud it just kinda starts sputtering and then dies. Wont do anything until i got pulled out, no lights come on, no fan, no starter, no nothing. I am taking it in tomorrow for some other problems but would like to know if anyone else has had this problem. i don't think they have a mud pit out back to test the problem lol.

Second problem was the shifter just broke, the shifter base is plastic and it just tore in 2, now there was a zip tie on it and it has had trouble going into L from day one so i don't know if they broke it during assembly and figured a zip tie would work or what. I put larger zip ties on it and was able to make the weekend just leaving it in low and never taking it out.

3rd problem is the melting rear plastics but after reading another thread on that i guess that is something im going to have to tackle myself lol

This is one of the cleanest and well kept LT500R Quadzilla’s we’ve seen in a while. Dubbed “MX Zilla” no expense was spared while restoring this machine and the owner paid significant attention to detail (notice the nickel plated frame). While this is definitely a beautiful machine, we’re not sure it’s quite worth the $10,000 […] more
