I had a chance to put first few miles on my 2015 850 Touring last week (3/29). I headed out from the trail head on M33 and traveled north to Mio and then on to Bull Gap. Bounce around a little on the Bull Gap sand hill and then headed back for short and slow a 50 mile ride (out and back).

The trails were surprising snow and ice covered. There was no snow visible from the road but the trails were covered in ice. Riding wasn't overly difficult, but rode slow and steady. Very slick and occasional breaking through the ice caused the potential to be thrown from the machine....so slow was the way to go.

On the 25 miles I rode, there were a couple trees down so I moved some and routed around others. Made it past everything out there but I suspect there could be more trees blocking the trail on the rest of the loop.

I may go back up 4/12 or 4/13 and try to cover more of the trail. I'll report back if I can get there.

hey guys new to the forum page having an issue with a 97 scrambler 500 non h.o, my issue is when i have the air box in with filter (brand new) it will start and idle but as soon as i put a good size load on it, it bogs out and starts spitting and sputtering if i remove the air box completely it will run fine. i bought the wheeler knowing that it had this issue i have found that some of the carb adjustments have been really far off i adjusted the jet needle to the 2 position from the top was set at 5 i also set the idle mixture screw to 2 1/2 turns i've gone through all the passages also set float bowl level to factory specs the slide diaphragm seems to be working smoothly also checked the choke all was ok i just picked up a valve and needle seat cause i did notice the overflow dripping but i got thinking if im over looking something else and its actually not carb related but there might be another underlying issue with the motor so i did a compression test cold, throttle open got about 28psi did another test warm and got 75psi now i know these have that decompression release in it any ideas on what compression should be? am i headed in right direction? or any ideas? sorry for the long right up

Has anyone put in a snorkel on there 17 xp1000? Heard a lot about snorkel your atv and highlighter but not sure what one would work best. Thanks

So as the title states, I sent the Scrambler down the road.
Kinda came out of nowhere but I was good with it when an offer was made. Couldn’ t pass up top dollar. Wasn’t ever going to get this kind of money for it again so figured why not.
Have been wanting to get back on two wheels so that is what I will be doing.

I've got a 2016 Polaris 450 HO and recently have had some trouble codes appear. Only one appears in the shop manual:

ERROR CODE #1
520285 Component: Break Switch(1 or 2) Indeterminable Condition: Break Switch Correlation Fault (see attached)
I'm thinking this could be the rear master cylinder? The back breaks never worked that well and don't seem to be working at all - but just a guess.
Can replace but before I do wanted to seek some advice. What's throwing me is the reference to "switch"...break switch?

ERROR CODE #2
520468 (I googled as this is not in shop manual as noted above). Only one I found is someone said its likely the clock as error codes don't go up that high? (huh?). I've disconnected and reconnected the battery to clear codes but they reappear. Voltage on battery is good 12.56+.

I have a 2015 Sportsman EFI 570. My "know it all" boyfriend put in standard radiator fluid. My question is... what are the ramifications for not putting in the 50/50 required by polaris?

I found this on the floor of my truck when I got home with my 02 Polaris 500 HO.
Any ideas on what it is and if its important? Thanks!
