Hi guys. I joined about a month ago and started a thread about the 2018 vs 2019 Outlanders before I made the decision what I was getting. I just bought a 2018 Outlander 850 DPS. I love it so far. I like to do trail riding and will probably use my quad to do work here and there. My first brand new quad, moving from my dads 2001 King quad 300.

Weak heated grips

I have a 2016 renegade 850 xxc, the oem heated grips were unbelievably week, I bought new heat demon grips thinking it would resolve the problem. They are just as weak, on full power they are barely luke warm what could the problem be?

2003 quest 500 dies out

New to the forum. I’ve been having a hard time finding and info on this machine. I’ve only had it less then a year. Long story short it runs fine then after getting on it it won’t rev up anymore and starts back firing. After it sits for a little bit it runs fine. I read about possible ground issue on the control causing it to go in limp mode. Is their a way to bypass the Rev limiter? It’s pretty annoying in reverse. I cleaned carb, fuel pump, checked check valves. Thanks

2005 Traxter Wiring Diagram

All, I have a 2005 Traxter XL. From when I got it, the speedometer was not working. Now the left side of the handlebar is not working. It will not start with the start switch however, will kill the engine. I can start the quad by jumpng the starter solenoid.
It also does not want to switch gears with the thumb shifter.
I went to a BRP dealer and was told it sounded like a wiring issue including the speedometer. I tried to buy a manual and could not. He advised same is no longer available to purchase.

Does anyone at least have the wiring diagram so I can try to figure out what is going on? He advised that the 2005 had more relays, etc than other years so trying to figure it out.

Thanks in advance for at least reading.

DS90 starter Question?

Hi Every one, need to replace the starter on my son's DS90, the Shaft Idle Gear was also was missing a couple teeth. My question is once these are replaced, do these gears on the starter and the Idle Gear need to have any grease applied? Do you want any grease on the clutch side of the the crankcase?

Thanks for any help and advice.

1987 Trailboss es/r 250CC starter shot

Hi all,

Starter finally died on this 1987 Trailboss. Trying to find an OEM number in order to obtain a replacement. For now I am still starting it using the pull rope, and rather not tear it down and disable it by removing the old starter as it is a pain to R&R. Many starters listed on Ebay for 1990 and up. Nothing for earlier models although they may work. vendor says he needs the OEM number off the starter so hoping someone here has that OEM information.

Thanks in advance.

2015 1000XXC Check Transmission E

Just picked up a 2015 1000xxc digital camo, had it on a small run last weekend without issue. Had it out today and it started to show the wrong gear, would be in H but show R or N etc. Sometimes would just show E and check transmission on the dash. Towed it home and washed it, pushed it into the garage and turned the power on and everything was working correctly. Would show correct gear etc.
Im going to change the gearbox oil, clean speed sensor but other than that what could be the issue?
Could the gear selector sensor be on the way out?
Gear oil was fairly dark, id say it was in need of a change quite bad.
Bike has 6000km
Any ideas?
