Scrambler 1kxp won’t start

Hey, I am new to the forum and in desperate need of help. Any help is greatly appreciated..

I have a 2017 model scrambler. Started a few weeks ago on adding a clutch kit, exhaust and programmer, snorkel kit and a winch. While I had it appart I figured I'd dielectric grease any connections and fuses I came across for safe measures. It ran about a week ago after dielectric greasing most everything. But yesterday I turned the key nd noticed the fuel guage has disappeared and the bike won't start. Not sure what causing this. It's getting spark and pretty sure it's getting fuel bc I can smell it when it's turning over. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

2018 or 2019 Defender MXR

Hi Folks,





Last weekend I closed the deal on what was a 2019 Defender XMR which is still sitting on the showroom floor. Later that day I get a call from the dealer and was told it was a 2018 and they would cut a grand of the price for the 2018 model. Still a great machine, so I started looking into the specs between the two and fond some interesting upgrades on the 2019.



1. Rear Differential:
The 2018 has a full time locked rear differential. The 2019 has a switched lock/unlock rear differential. I have not drove the 2018 XMR with the full locker yet, but I would think the 2019 would be a plus for driving on the lawn (keep the wife happy).





2. Shocks, Travel, Ground Clearance:
The 2018 has 9" front tvl and 9.5" rear trv, with 13.5" ground clearance. The 2019 has 10" front tvl and 10" rear trv, with 15" ground clearance. And the 2019 has larger shock bores.



3. Towing capacity:
The 2018 is rated for 2000# towing cap, and the 2019 is rated at 2500#.


My main purpose for this machine will be for ice fishing. It will be getting a full heated hard cab with tip out front window (same as the XT's), tracks, pro-fab topper with full rack, rear winch, and a Boss V-Plow.

I have the dealer on hold right now trying to decides if the 2019 model is worth the extra grand. I would like to save the 1000 buck, but don't want to kick myself in the @@s not taking advantage of the upgrades. Maybe someone can help me out here, due to the fact I haven't driven either the 2018 or the 2019.

BTW, I am a very proud owner of a 2016 Ren XXC 850, love it!

First day after picking up the new bikes a few weeks ago with a buddy of mine. What a fantastic machine so far. Now iv got 156km on it itching to get out of that break in mode and really feel the power! (Mines the yellow one)

Sportsman 570 EFI Won’t Start After Storage

I have a 2014 Sportsman 570 EFI with ~1000miles on it owns since new. I parked it in my outside garage this winter for storage and have been unable to get it running this spring upon returning back to it, there were no weird issues up to this, it was driven up to the exact spot that I am now trying to start it. It was stored with gas in it, so I started out by siphoning out all gas in the tank and filling the tank fully with fresh Super, then I unhooked the fuel rail and ran about 5 water bottles worth of fuel through it, so I am getting fuel at least as far as the rail. If the spark plug in pulled and set on the engine it receives spark, though I replaced the plug with an NGK plug anyways. The battery was testing at 12 volt, though the health was down to 30%, so it now has a new battery. The fuses and kill switch all appear to be normal and I've tried starting the machine in both Park and Neutral. I've also tried starting it with the gas cap off in case it may not be getting air. When you first turn on the key you can hear it prime the rail, though it will then just keep turning over at ~250rpm and not fire, if you prime the rail 3 or 4 times and try again there does not appear to be any change. I'm not great with EFI, so I've just tried all my initial thoughts, dealers and techs in the area are currently pushed out on appointments, so I would appreciate any thoughts that you may have on what to check. My next thought is to fully unhook the rail and injector and make sure that it is getting good spray and not clogged. Thanks!

Difference between the 570 and 850?

Just curious - whats the difference between the 570 and 850 aside of cc's?
I was looking at those big bore kits that take you to 740cc.
Are there other parts that are upgraded too on the 850?

Just finished oil change, oil filter and gear oil change

WTF that was crazy. I'm not super handy, but I though that was insane.

First the removing of all the plastics and foot well to get to the area took forever.
Second that drain screw for the Gear oil is insane to get to. Took me ages.
Also my screws for my oil filter cover sheered off. I was using a torque wrench too I was no where near the recommended torque when it snapped:|
I think maybe the last guy that owned it over tightened them and weakened them?

Any way - rant over. I love the can am, but man maintenance sucks

Anyone have one? Selling the HMF I have now and need a stock one. Willing to work a deal if someone wants much louder than stock. Located in NC. THX
