Hello All,
I am new to the forum hope all is well. I have a stock 2015 can am outlander 1000 Xt w/ 400 miles on it. I have been looking around for a programmer and exhaust setup for this ride. I am not running big tires or going to be running deep in the mud. I like to do a lot of trail riding with some light to moderate mud, hillclimbing and some high speed flats where the top end is appreciated. I want to get all the power I can from this machine (because whoever said "no that's enough power I don't want anymore")as I could without opening the motor for now. I have found a guy on ebay that will reflash the ecm to remove speed/rev limits, and download a tune on a programmer to adjust the fuel/air ratio and adjust to the Trinity exhaust. However he has informed me that by doing so without doing some valve spring upgrades I will damage my motor. Has anyone ran into this problem, or have I misunderstood what he was trying to tell me?
Thank you in advance,
Mike
