Intro…

Hey all, I'm Tony and I live in Vaudreuil, Quebec, Canada. It's just outside of Montreal.
I don't have a quad yet, but I'm shopping....
I have ridden quads in the past, but never owned one of my own.
I grew up on BMX bikes and motocross.
I switched to DH mountain biking and when my daughter was born, I just didn't have the same drive. I just wanted to be with her.
As she grew a bit, I finally got my moto permit and I'm currently riding an FZ-09. It's fun, but my wife is scared of bikes and won't go near one.
Quads however, have 4 wheels and that's "safer" in her mind. If she only knew....LOL
Sooooo....Yeah. I'm in the market for a quad or two. Probably 2, but it might end up as an ATV and a SxS, who knows.
Currently have my eye on an Outlander Max North Edition as it has heated grips (also on the rear grips) for the Winter months for the wife and mini.
Probably a Renegade XXC or XMR for me. Not sure which way I want to go. I've mainly ridden sport quads (Quadracers, 250Rs, etc), and I just love pitching a quad sideways.
Feel free to ask me anything...

Accessory Wiring

I will be installing an Auxbean 12" LED light bar on my 2018 570SP next week. I ordered this wiring harness from Amazon (MICTUNING MIC-B1002 LED Light Bar Wiring Harness, Fuse 40A Relay On-off Waterproof Switch) I have Dealer installed Polaris Hand and Thumb Warmers as well as Dealer installed Polaris HD 2500 Winch. I have read plenty of threads that say to hook up to the orange/white accessory wire for it to work keyed on/off.

How many of those accessory wires are there?
Is it ok for me to hook up the light bar to the same wire as the winch/hand/thumb warmers?
How do the bigger rocker switches look mounted on the headlight pod?

Defroster vents

Hello all,
I'm considering putting a Summit racing heater in my HD5 and I'd like to use the "Cut Out" locations on the dash. Does anyone know where I can get the Can Am vents (or others that will fit in them)? I'm also building doors and any help on getting hinges would be appreciated.
Thanks

New Guy

Hi everyone, I have a 2017 Outlander 850 XMR with a little work done. I am trying to find a complete rear drive shaft. Can I get some info for a solid replacement and I run 34" BKTs?

How Many?

Does anyone have production number on the ATV's, 2003-330 Trail Boss?, 2002-500HO Scrambler?, 2012-200 Phoenix?, 2005-800EFI Sportsman?

first time chiming in

have 04 outty 400-2010 800 xrm- have a buds system and can't get limp home mode off 800-doest seem to do anything it runs fine-man told me when it was a sensor -could it be for air suspension as I'm not sure if it still works I'm in fla do a lot of mud riding-

WTF– Snot in my carb?

My 94 big boss 400L 6x6 is has become very hard to start. It had sat outside for about 4 weeks and it rained heavy by SoCal standards for several days. Also all the gas in los angeles is e15...
So I was not surprised when I could not get in running. I was able to isolate the trouble to the carb. Inside a found a gooey white jello like substance. I've had to clean a lot of carbs over the years but this mush was a new experience.

I sprayed a can of carb cleaner which seemed to dissolve it but after that dried the snot turned into a more of a powder residue clinging to the surface. This is removable with a brush but not with the spray carb cleaner. After cleaning it as best i can, it started right up, but only ran for about 5 min. Took the carb apart and spent another full can of gum out carb cleaner on it. Once back together it started right up again but after about 10-15 minutes, it quit again.

Im sure it has something to do with me not being able to reach all the ports with a brush to get all the powdery stuff out. I also believe the e15 gas is the source of my troubles, but WTF. I've never had this issue with my dirt bikes, the old cub cadet tractor, my ancient 70's era argo, weed whacker etc etc etc.

Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome.
Rick
