2014 XMR 1000 frame

Hey all, I have a 2014 XMR 1000 and my frame is bad/twisted. I am wondering what other frames are the same as mine? Any help would be great as I am new to the can am world. thanks!

Wheel specs?

Can someone give me the wheel specs on the 2015 Sportsman 1000 XP? Looking to buy another of wheels and need the factory specs of the front and rear.

Clutch cleaning or replacement

I bought this atv and the deeper I dig the worse it gets. I am at a standstill now and getting ready to start putting everything back together but these clutches are a complete mess. The previous owner had the atv set up for mudding and evidently had sunk it or got water in the clutch box. I have tried brake cleaner, drawn dishwashing detergent, purple power, and aluminum wheel cleaner to no avail. Just want some expert eyes to look at them and see if anyone has any ideas on whether I should try and rebuild these of look on ebay for some suitable replacements. I did remove a what appeared to be a clutch kit spring and replaced it with a stock spring on the primary clutch the weights appear to be aftermarket as well. See attached pics. Tia

Need Help-Am Stumped

This is a long post but is a peculiar problem.

Machine is a 2015 Polaris Ace 570 purchased with 0 miles as new in September 2018. It now has less than 300 total miles on it. Used a couple of weeks in November around my Deer camp, and mostly for plowing snow, but, I am careful plowing, no heavy pushing, no hitting the bank, etc.,

1. First Happening--Machines starts and runs, then motor shuts off as if the ignition is being shut off-let sit for a minute and it will start and run again--No pattern as to when this happens, can go weeks without a problem, then happens again.

2. Machine not running-turn key on, will get N light and seatbelt light on dash but starter will not turn, winch will not work no headlights in light position on ignition switch either--keep trying turning ignition off and on--eventually get full electrical, and machine will start and keep running--no pattern to when this happens either.

3. After shutting off after running fine, turn ignition switch to start and starter engages and cranks and cranks but motor will not start---let machine sit for indeterminate mount of time, turn key, starter engages and motor runs.

I had the machine to my dealer a while ago when the winch quit. Started it fine, took it off the trailer, parked it on their lot and when the mechanic went to get it, he had problem #3 but after sitting for a short time it started so they did not follow up. They re-did some of the winch wiring connections and when it worked fine they figured they had the problem fixed.

The other day it acted up again so back to the dealer. Went out to garage, machine started right up, loaded it on the trailer, drove 30 miles to dealer. When I was going to take it off the trailer, problem #2, OK tried turning ignition switch of and on repeatedly, all of a sudden, Problem #3, starter cranking, engine would not start, so they unloaded it with a forklift. After sitting for a while the machine started and they got it in the shop.

The mechanic has been running the machine around their yard for two days and it has been starting and running fine. Their story is "Can't fix it if it's not Broke". I told the mechanic that I think it is an electrical problem, probably in the electrical control box, or something like that, but he said in their diagnostics the computer did not throw any codes. I have to rely on this machine especially for plowing snow, but am getting frustrated. I traded in a tired 2010 Sportsman on this that I never had a problem with, am sorry I bought this for reliability.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lou

Is there such a person as a Polaris Rep, etc., or is that a peeing in the wind sort of thing?

1996 Sportsman 500 questions, value?

I'm trying to help a friend price a 1996 sportsman 500. What do you think the value is? The VIN is weird, I thought all VINs were supposed to be 17 digits. the sticker on the hood shows a VIN, and there's also a plate on the front right axle that has the same number, though it looks like part of the plate may be broken off.

Is this a special Canadian model or VIN? We are located in the US.

Chug-A-Lug 850SP build

Hey Guys! I'm going to start a thread here to document the mods I add to my 18' SP 850. I have done the first few mods already but I am waiting for some parts later this week and next to finish most of what I will do for this year. I have noticed that this forum is sorta..."business" only and people don't really shoot the shit and mess around much. Well feel free to do some of that in here because I don't understand being uptight on a forum that's about learning and sometimes asking dumb questions:eek

Right now I have the front and rear polaris bumpers on, as well as the 3500 rapid recovery winch. That rear bumper is a PIA getting the bottom screws into the connection plate...oh well I managed!

Coming from Babbitts already on its way
- Throttle warmer
- Grip Warmers (national backorder have to wait another couple weeks)
- Front/Rear A-arm guards

Sitting in the mailbox and I have to go get
-ODI lock grips with red rings and black grip

Coming in the next week or so..
-Battle Torn graphics kit

I ordered the updated cold weather relays because I had a huge PIA with my Ranger 900 holding a charge and starting in cold, but when I looked at mine today they were all the updated ones, so I am canceling those. On that note, I will be hooking up a fulltime CTEK connection to keep the battery tended at all times!

Next winter I plan on adding a plow, I think I will be going with a Boss V, which might also get me adding HD front springs or something similar.
I also want to add the center brake light, and will be doing that this summer probably. Want to add some more lighting at some point too, but won't be rushing into that as I will very rarely be out at night.

Will probably be reaching out on here for help with wiring ideas and whatnot.

Not sure why pics are all sideways! :1zhelp:

Enjoy and feel free to offer advice or suggestions! I've never owned a quad before.

New Guy New Problems 04 700 efi

Hi All. First off let me say this seems to be the best site for Polaris ATV's.
I have a 04 700 efi that's been giving me fits:aargh4: I had follow AK Stews thread about all the trouble he had getting his lined up much of mine was the same problems hot fuel and the like.

I had a rough idle and it ran to rich so I put a gauge on it sure enough 50 psi so I replaced the fuel pump with the Carter and fuel pressure reg[Standard brand] and a Wix fuel filter also sprayed out the throttle body. Life was good it idled and ran fine. Then I noticed a drop of coolant coming out of the water pump so I replaced the water pump seal and the oil seal it stopped the coolant leak but now it wont hardly idle and backfires thru the breather box.

Now to date I have replaced the plugs NGK, intake boot OEM, T Bap wiring from OTB, gas is good.
Could I have done something when I put it back together it seems like I must have because it ran fine before I put the seals in. I checked the throttle stop today and it was fine one more thing I sprayed the throttle body out gain just before I put it back together. :ponder:
