Thanks for accepting me into the club! I own a 04 Bombardier Quest 650. My kids and I enjoy cruising the farm on our atv.

Light and Winch Power > Not cranking

2002 HO. Plowing last night my front lights and winch stopped working (this happened twice before the last time I was plowing). Turned the quad off and then on and everything worked fine again. 20 minutes later when winching UP (even if there was no weight) the lights would dim significantly and it would barely winch in and eventually would stop. Again I turned the quad off, only this time I could barely get a half crank out of it as if the battery was dead. After a couple times I could get the light to turn on when putting the key in the on position and that is when I noticed the fan wasn't running. It is pretty darn cold here so I guess it is possible that the engine was cool enough for the fan not to be running.

I had the battery tested today and it is fine. Going to start troubleshooting more tonight....any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

2003 Scrambler 500 4 wheel drive issues

Hello. My 2003 polaris 500 scrambler's 4 wheel drive engages intermittently when i have it switched on. Should i be looking for an electrical issue or can dirty hub fluid cause this issue? it hasn't been changed in some time but wasn't sure if that could result in the 4 wheel drive disengaging?

Rev Limiter

My wife took a turn plowing some snow yesterday. She loves riding and just wanted to try pushing snow. She got into some deep snow and sort of got stuck.
She tried rocking back and forth and after about 45 minutes was able to free herself.
She would peg the Rev limiter in forward and reverse while trying to get unstuck.
At one point she had the poor thing Rev limited for about 10 minutes straight. The engine was so hot it was smoking. But she just kept whipping it as hard as she could.
My question is, do I have to check the engine out for any sort of damage?
It sounds a little different now and runs a little rough.

New to forum in North Carolina

Been riding bikes for 55 yrs. After my 4th stroke decided to sell my 5 bikes and take up 4 wheeling. Bought a 2010 Sportsman 500 with 110 hours. I used to race dirt bikes and guess it made the change much easier. This thing is a blast. We recently had 14" of snow and this thing went with no problem, scared a few cows on the neighbors 100 acre farm. Did jump a 6' wide creek but was running to fast to avoid a tree 20' up the bank. Bought a double tube front bumper to limit damage, ride it like I stole it. Got a winch from Cabelas last week, Kolpin 2500 for Under $90 with taxes, 5 yr warranty. Gearing up for 2 weeks at Hatfield McCoy in West Virginia. Tried a few atv's but the polaris is by far the most comfortable ride for this 63 yr old.
