Hey guys.


So I did some reading on bellows vs my factory vent lines... I'm starting to like the idea of them vs the vent lines in general. Even if you tip your wheeler in water, you won't get ANY water in the front diff, rear diff, and gearbox... I think I'll end up ordering 3 of the white can am ones.




Anyone running them? (Im sure there are some of you out there).

Hello everyone, i am new to the forum and new to can-am. I purchased the defender HD-8, i would like some input on how large of a wheel and tire can i put under this thing with the factory suspension, i may twist the coil-over(what ever its called) up to the max height. Thanks for any help!! I love it so far, i believe it will give me years of satisfaction!

I have a 2007 Polaris sportsman 450 with an “automatic” transmission (guessing this means cvt clutch)

I recently noticed when accelerating in high gear, it doesn’t “shift”, allowing me to increase speed while maintaining rpm. It just revs high but maintains that “first gear” speed. If I let off the gas a bit and accelerate again it will then “shift”, allowing me to increase speed.

I really don’t want to take it to the dealership for trouble shooting. The only dealers around my area want $400 just to look at it. I’m hoping this isn’t a problem others can help me diagnose???

hey guys looking for wisdom again. This sportsman is breaking my bank! So I got this sportsman used re built the motor with shop manual. (I like fixin my own SH!T). So I installed new crank, bearings, con rods, heads rings, and cylinders honed. Triple checked timing and adjusted valve clearance, fire it up runs like a champ but I hear this slight clicking sound so I shut er down and popped the valve cover off and timing was still in spec buuuuut exaust valves were stuck open. ripped motor out... again and yup exaust valves wont budge but thank the lucky stars there is no damage to pistons. so... Question What the F**k causes this? cant seem to find any info on these things except for people bashing them. Oh and I double checked if cam gear spun on crank and all good thank god. load me up with knowledge brothers. oh and another thing I should mention, how do the tensioners work on these things it says hydraulic. I was told they don't operate proplerly and cause teeth to skip on chain. when I popped off flywheel cover and TDC was bang on with cam gear, which had a sheered pin on cam shaft (dowl pin). quad has 5000kms on it about 5 mins run time on bottom and top end re build.

Hello all,
My 1996 sportsman 400 (2 stroke) perfectly maintained and never a problem.
I pulled my dipstick from the trany this weekend and the fluid poured out on the ground for 5 seconds. About 2-4 ounces total came out. Fluid was clean and purple. no water clouding. Smelled a little like gas though. Possible that I over filled it last year but I doubt it. What can cause this. There is no fluid that flows to this transmission tank, right?
There is no water in it by inspection.
Any thoughts??

For those that have done rvs reflash what are you doing to modify intake when you do the stage 3 flash for aftermarket exhaust and modified intakes ?
