’01 Sportsman 500 kills at idle

I have a 2001 Sportsman 500. Probably half the time when I come to a stop, the engine kills because one of the clutches seems to still be gripping the drive belt. Additionally, at times when I start it up, it's evident the clutch is engaged, making startup difficult, and it wants to take of immediately. I have lubricated all the moving parts on both clutches, yet the problem persists. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Karl

Starter won’t disengage after the engine starts

I have a 2011 outlander 400 efi. The starter will not disengage after the engine starts. I have replaced the solenoid and starter, and looked at connections in the starter button. I'm not the most mechanical person and I'm at a loss right now. Thanks if anyone has suggestions.

Secondary leak into clutch housing

i have a 2007 500 and it recently starting leaking from the secondary shaft into the clutch housing. i've done enough searching to see if anyone else has had this issue and either i suck at searching or it's not very common. (it's probably me.) anyway...any input would be much appreciated. here's a picture of where the leak is coming in. after a thorough cleaning, and belt switch, it only took about 15 miles and the belt had enough oil on it that i pretty much couldn't move.

Polaris sportsman 700 oil pump seal and water pump seal

I just rebuilt my 700 engine and after a few hours of operation I noticed and oil leak from the weep hole. I used aftermarket seals. Could this be my issue. The oil pump shaft is new as well. I'm real bothered by this leak. Any suggestions why this may be leaking would be greatly appreciated.

2018 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 vs. 2017 Polaris Ranger XP 1000: By the Numbers

How does the new Ranger stack up against the old one?

In perhaps our most unique by the number comparision, we wanted to see how the 2018 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 compares to the 2017 Polaris Ranger XP 1000.

Yes, you’re reading that right. It’s not often that we compare two models from the same brand, but how about comparing the same model from the current and the upcoming model year? Why would we do that? It’s not as crazy as it sounds actually. Last year the biggest Ranger was unveiled and was well received by everyone. So it took everyone by a bit of a surprise that Polaris would come out with an all-new version within a year. You may have seen the press release stating what was with the new Ranger, but let’s compare them by the numbers.

2017 Can-Am Defender HD10 XT Review + Video

Smartly designed Utility UTV impresses

Possibly the one most anticipated vehicle for ranch hands, land owners and hunters coming from BRP was the Can-Am Defender. This vehicle provided the Can-Am lineup with a true Utility Side-by-Side vehicle that workers and hunters could relate to.

This rugged, powerful machine embodies the working class with a few small touches that make it a great trail rider as well. Fast forward a couple of years and we have had our 2017 Can-Am Defender hard at work for about six months now. During our testing in the North Georgia Mountains, we proved to ourselves just why we still think this would make a great asset to any home or business.

After long days on the trail and in the thick of rocky, most times tight, steep hills (both up and down), the Defender proved it could earn its keep. The competition in this category is intense, with one company slicing out a huge portion of the pie, yet the Defender still left an impression of greatness with us.

Buying Advice – 2014 Canam Outlander 650XT

Hi Folks,

I'm coming from the Yamaha world so trying to familiarize myself with the Canams. I have an opportunity to purchase a 2014 Canam Outlander 650XT with all the trimmings. It currently has 4300KMS, original owner and proof of all regular maintenance. Asking is $8500 CA, but I'm confident I can probably get it for $7500.00

1. Any issue with this model I should look out for?
2. Decent price?

Any comments or input would be appreciated.
