I have a 2004 Sportsman 400 with the 4wd not working, although it says it’s on on the speedometer cluster. I bought it that way a couple years ago from a guy who said his dog tore at the wires by the cluster years back, he replaced the harness but it still didn’t work and never got around to actually fixing it. I haven’t needed 4wd until now as I am looking to put a plow on this thing. I took apart the speedometer and everything looks and works ok there and even took off the front panel to look at wires under that and I followed all the wires and everything looks ok. I am finding no fuses anywhere.....it’s got pretty low hours and miles on it for being an 04....anything I should check that I haven’t described above?
2003 Polaris predator 90 will idle but bogs out.
I have a 2003 predator 90.
It was running fine and one day out on the trail my daughter was driving along and it lost power.so I brought it home and tried to figure out the trouble. It will idle but dies when you pull the throttle unless you at the same time feather the manual choke then you can get it to keep running. When it dies it will fire right back up. here is a list of what I have changed and still have the same trouble.
all new
spark plug
fuel filter
carb
rubber intake between carb and reeds
new reeds
piston
rings
jug
have tried running it with fuel cap of thinking it was getting vapor locked
took supply line off of fuel shut off and hooked it directly to the filter cause I thought it was starving for fuel but the filter never runs dry when its bogging
took 2 screws out of the rev limiter
tried unhooking rev limiter but quad wont start with out it hooked up
checked the switch in the throttle seems to be working right
did all these things and still have the same issue with no power. I have googled it and seems like many have had the issue but I couldn’t find out a fix from any of them.

Can someone please help. I have a 1996 Polaris maximum 2x4. I installed a new carb and it runs fine, but I can only get it up to 25 MPH. What should I do to fix this problem?
Lift /Stand 1000 Recommendations
ATV Newbie with 17 Sportsmen XP 1000 touring (798 lbs)
I know this post should be posted under the maintenance forum but I thinking this thread knows whats under my ATV.
Can anybody recommend Lift /Stand for my ATV? Or should I be lifting up the front and back separately to do maintenance like I do vehicles. I see ATV Lift /Stands everywhere and they appear to make sense. I need access in order to perform the standard owners manual maintenance. Thanks

05 speedometer LCD
My 2005 sportsman 500 lcd screen is hard to see in the center. If I angle the LCD screen then it becomes easier to read. I know there is a polarizer film on the lcd that wears out. However I took a little piece of polarizing film and held it up in front of the lcd and rotated it. The lcd went from light, to blacked out. But during the rotation, the graphics did not become easier to read. If it becomes easier to read at an angle, that has to mean the polarizer film is bad right? Is there a specific type of polarizer film for this lcd, or does the old one need to be removed in order for the new film to show a difference?
Engine temperature sensor
I have a 2019 450ho, utility sportsman. Is there a different engine temperature sensor ( lower temp) for when the radiator fan will turn on. I really don't like the 200 deg temp engagement. Huge temp swing, I would prefer a fan engagement, more around 185. Or has someone wired in a fan switch without hacking the harness!

2018 Sportsman 570 error 168 3 Over voltage
I am getting an error 168 3 over voltage reading on my 2018 570 Sportsman, I replaced the Voltage regulator and have checked all wiring for shorts and loose connections, I even ran stator wires in the same plastic wire protector as the rest of the wiring so it couldn't short to anything. I have have also swapped the battery with same symptoms. My concern is that even disconnecting the battery, the code remains without starting the machine. I believe there is or must be a way to reset the code internally because it doesn't appear disconnecting battery clears it.
2016 Sportsman 850 SP Fan Circuit Breaker Location
Can someone confirm for me that the 2016 Sportsman 850 SP has a fan circuit breaker similar to previous years? If so, can you tell me where I can find it?
I was out riding today and the fan would not kick on at all and my machine overheated. Power to the fan is good and the fan runs if power is directly applied.
On my 2013, there was a 10A circuit breaker in the wiring harness that caused the same symptoms. I replaced that with a 20A circuit breaker and intended to do the same on my 2016 as I had a spare. However, I was unable to find it in the wiring harness of the 2016. I removed most of the wire loom and electrical tape, but no luck. I was on the trail when I tore in to it, so I didn't go too deep, but I wanted to ask before I spend any more time on it.
