Best gun boot

Well after many years our present Gun boots are showing their age. Replacement time is at hand.
Our present boots are soft nylon, with quick release buckles and a zipper. They attach to heavy steel brackets with velcro straps.
There is a suitcase style handle on top of the nylon case that allows it to be taken off the bracket with the rifle inside simply by releasing the velcro straps. It was made by Innovative Products inc. The nylon case is the part going bad, but it appears that this company is no longer.
Too bad, as we really like the setup.

Sooooo. What is your choice in gun boots? Pros and cons. will be buying 3 of them, so we want to make a good decision.

Fitment to the quad is not that important as I will likely be making a custom setup for that.

TIA

Hard Gear Shifter

Recently purchased a 1997 Polaris Sportsman Xplorer 500 and have been doing some TLC just for fun. Came across my gear shifter having some issues. It goes into and out of gear fine but I almost have to push it hard into gear and force it into reverse. Could it be a lack of oil problem? Rust on some piece in the gear shifter? Or are they just always hard to get into gear? It's my first ATV and am just not sure..

18 sportsman 850 heat from exhaust

Hey guys I’ve had my 850 for about a month now and I’ve noticed the exhaust is pretty close to the plastics and they get super hot when you ride it for a while just wondering if there’s any after market heat shielding or if I can do anything to prevent the plastics from getting so hot I ride double sometimes and the wife will not like her ass catching fire 😂😂 thanks in advance

Size of radiator cooling fan?

My 2015 Outlander 650 MAX XT cooling fan is squealing away. It still works, but in the interest of reliability, I would like to replace BEFORE it totally fails and overheats the engine in our 100* days. The Spal website lists MANY different sizes. I would like to order my fan assembly before I tear everything down. Does anyone know the size of the stock setup? (diameter)
Gentlemen thank you in advance.

Just getting started

Hello all.
Just joined the forum and looking to get back into the ATV scene. I have friends that ride and I used to have an old Rincon 450. Been looking at getting a new ATV in the near future and really have liked the Sportsmans. I am looking at getting an 850 and was wondering if there was any issues I should know about. I have looked at several other brands and honestly the only 2 that I have enjoyed so far are the Grizzly and the Sportsman but definitely 2 very different machines. I will mainly be doing trails/light mud/hills in Minnesota and plowing my 292 foot driveway. Still looking at plows or possibly even a snow blower attachment and will eventually change out the stock tires with Kenda Bearclaw HTR's. The main person I will be riding with has a 2016 Sportsman 1000 hunters edition.

Last time I rode was in 2016 and was on a few bikes back then. Again loved the Sportsman (most comfortable and great power) and Grizzly's (smoothest throttle). Didn't care for the Suzuki (lacked power and suspension was a bit loose) and the Can Am was great in a straight line but had more body roll than a 1970's Cadillac in the twisties.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

1992-1996 f150 sway bar bushing for steering

Well needing a new upper steering post bushing I mic’d the steering post at about 1”. As close as I could get with the gauge pod still on. I found a 1992-1996 sway bar bushing with strap from a f150 fit the dimensions I needed. Trimmed some off the tabs to make it the same width as the factory strap and it bolted right up.

Waterproof Storage Containers – Similar To Pelican

I just bought these storage containers for inside the rear compartment and for up front in my trunk. I used to use a small Pelican case to store all my tools so I wouldn't have to worry about rust etc... but they are grossly overpriced for what they are.

I purchased these storage cases from a Canadian company called Hard Cases and the fella I dealt with was David. Awesome service and great products..... especially given the price! Website below.

I'm going to use the larger orange case for my tools, the smaller red one for a first-aid kit and the compact orange one will fit my insurance/registration, wallet and Iphone 8 Plus (with phone case) and has a bit of room to spare! The containers also come in a really great variety of colors. Here's a few photos for you guys. The latches are way better then the Pelican cases I've had in the past and the little orange case has a rubber divider in it to keep items strapped in so they don't bang around too much.
