07 outlander 800 max runs hot

Hello all, new to the site. Recently picked up a used outlander max, and riding the heat comming off the engine will roast your calves, seems really hot to me. You can hear the fan comming on and off while riding, it's not spitting coolant or nothing like that. Just hot as all get out. You have to put your legs out away from the machine it gets that hot.

Not familiar with can am, and haven't ever owned a 800, so not sure what's up, if it's something normal or not, sure don't feel like it. The heat seems like it would melt wires and torch any electronics. Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks,

Chinese master cylinders?

Hi guys,

I have a new to me 2004.5 Sportsman 500. It needs a new rear auxiliary brake master cylinder. Normally, I'm not the corner cutting type and I know that in the majority of cases, OEM trumps all.

Given that these things seem to be a common failure point on these machines, however, I'm wondering what the heck the difference would be if I just bought a replacement from Amazon for $12. What are all you guys using for your replacements? OEM or Amazon?

Any input is welcome.

2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI HO, HELP!!??

Pulled the right rear CV joint out of the transmission on the left rear side. Trying to change the inner boot. So, I pulled out the shaft from the transmission, has a little lock ring on the inside of shaft but I do not know how to get the Cap off the end! I've watched a few youtube videos and one shows an inner lock ring on the cap, one shows a ring on the inner shaft which I have neither! Could someone give me a pointer here? I even have a Polaris 2008 Sportsman EFI service manual and it doesn't even show any of this!

Recall

Just received a letter from BRP saying that there’s a recall on all 2018 outlander and renegade models. They are saying not to use bike until they fixed the problem. Ok from reading the posts on the 2017 outlander 570 recall there were a lot of people pissed off because they were taken to long to fix the problem and warranty was finished, so there no way I’m not using my bike until it’s done. That’s like bringing a child to a candy store and telling them not to eat candy. Lol
