Hello everyone. I am picking up a 2018 can am max limited 1000 on saturday. Switching from an arctic cat. I have a question for anyone who has installed the factory air snorkel. Is it east to put on. I have a snorkel and rad relocator on my arctic cat but i want to ride in maine and they will not allow any rad relocators or snorkels that are not factory. I was curious if this kit was easy to put on where i " could " take it back off when i goto maine. Even if i was to leave part of the kit sitting just under the plastics and when i left maine i could put the exposed part of the snorkel back on. or is it a pain in the @ss like the cat where you need to remove plastics to remove the snorkel.. Hopefully my rambling makes sense with what i'm trying to do.

whats the largest tires you can fit on a stock XP. It looks like 28's would fit no problem.

I have a 2016 can am outlander 1000xt with 30” tires on it. The primary is stock with a dalton clutch kit.

The secondary is

Once I am over 40 mph and hit the throttle hard is squeals really bad and won’t grab the belt hard enough. If I gradually go up to 70 without any inconsistency it is fine and no slipping, who does that.

Do I need a heavier spring in the secondary or do I just need to swap the helix for a single angle helix?

I'm having issues with my awd working. The indicator light is blinking erratically making me think it's electrical but I've tested the connections and I'm getting 12v where needed and good continuity elsewhere. The service manual would have me belive the central hilliard is bad but I'm not convinced with the flickering signal on the speedo. Would changing the from diff fluid be a good idea or am I overlooking some other electrical issue to check? This is super frustrating so I appreciate any help.

I am looking at a 450 max for trail riding in Michigan and ice fishing. Me and my order are larger though. 300 lbs ea. So is it enough power for us to your around on? Or no way. Thanks

Wanting to install my heat shield but not finding info so i will keep my experience as brief as possible... You may try as i did to install shield without removing tank but i did NOT find it possible. Remove front plastic,Side plastic, fuel line,Vent tube, Pump connector, and just to the front of the seat are the 2 bolts retaining the tank. I also removed seat and snorkel to air box. remove tank it will come out with some finesse. Install shield, common sense will direct you. 1/4 inch bolt for lower portion of shield to frame. This works great for holding the shield during install of tank so things dont get moved all around. I fought with tank to get it back in with no success without removing screws for head light pod and moving it forward. Shield installed takes up some of the clearance i had for removal. Get a beer and chill... Now reinstall everything. I removed the center portion of my footwells just for reasons such as this, I hate puzzles.!!!! I only have a small portion of the well attached, you might have to remove the entire well for re installment.. The fit is great with no interference to anything. get another beer and take a ride to cool off..! it was 97 Degrees today with a 150% humidity. Enjoy..! OH.... Great time to change the spark plug... so have one when ya do this.!

Hey all 🙂 I have a 2010 sportsman 500 HO . I was wondering if anyone knew the the rating on my stock winch. I cannot find anything in my books about it. Was going to switch it for another one I have but not much point if they rate the same lol. Any insight would be great thank you !

I have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO and have problems with the charging system. I have replaced the voltage regulator and a shop has went through the wiring and tested the stator however after 60 to 70 miles of riding I still have a battery light start flashing and have to put a charger on the battery. The battery is brand new as well. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone, I purchased a used 2009 outlander MAX XT last summer from a good friend of mine , ( 187 original miles and always garage kept ) the machine has been awesome so far and I love how it rides but i have noticed that when i go though a deep water crossing that the belt seems to be slipping ( higher revs and lack of power ) . is this due to the belt never being broke in or is it a different issue all together? TIA.

Need some serious advice on three things, if you have time. Based on your personal riding experience:

1. At speeds in excess of 45 mph (not exceeding 50), on a good, smooth highway, my Sportsman XP 1000 Touring gets "suirrley," meaning squishing or yawing/twitching. With one person. Pretty disconcerting. Something I need to get used to? Factory tires need to be replaced (600 miles)?

2. Headgear: for mixture dirt roads and high speed highway, what are you guys putting on your head? Goggles, bandanas, ball cap backwards, helmet?

3. Windshield: At the kind of speeds we're talking here, would a mid- or tall Polaris windshield block wind? If so, approx how much? Cut down wind noise?

(Please no smart-ass remarks-these are pretty serious questions)
