Appreciate all of the feedback. Thought I should mention that the low hours on the ATV are attributed to my preference for two wheels. I own a Yamaha TTR 230, WR250F and WR250R so I'm partial to dirt bikes and, I guess, Yamaha. I keep everything on a battery tender. Also, bought the ATV for my wife and friends to enjoy. I live in South Florida (Palm Beach County) and there are no OHV recreational areas nearby. Hoping to semi-retire to an area with more OHV/riding trails. Your points are well taken and I guess like most everything in life, there are pros and cons to whatever you ride. Saw a sweet looking Polaris General while Dual Sport riding in Alabama and I can't deny that I was tempted for a moment. Polaris does have a reputation in terms of reliability...which is a shame.

I'll keep riding and hope you all do the same as often as you can. Think we're a pretty rare breed (especially here in South Florida) but proud.

Hi i have a can am renegade 500(2012) there is a lound humming noise coming from some place. At some points it almost ear pearcing. It starts around 70kmh and 80kmh then stops then comes back around 105 kmh. I will post a video in the comments. Any help would be appreceated.

I brought home a new 2018 Can Am Commander XT 800 yesterday. Looking forward to many days traveling the trails with it here in Nova Scotia with a trip planned to cross Newfoundland next year.

I started out with a 2005 Yamaha Grizzly, then a 2015 CFMOTO Zforce 800 and now the Can Am.

Looking forward to being part of the Can Am Family and this Forum.

Taking my machine in for it’s ten hour maintenance soon,,,question,,& perhaps a stupid one,,,will my shop install the tuner I’m looking to buy or is it against some kind of immission law or something for them to do so? I’m in NY. And,,do you burn/go through more fuel with the tuner generally? Thank You.

Had to jump start, running and idles ok but when rpms are up the dash blanks out and comes back after a bit. Thinking battery is bad but not sure. Battery only two years old. Could regulator be bad causing brief power interruptions?

Bought a used 2007 sportsman 800 with really low miles and in really mint shape. With all the threads on these machines i was able to solve a few issues. Quad wasnt charging so i tested the stator and the voltage regulator. Stator seemed to check out but vr seemed to test on the low side all 3 numbers were the same though. Bought new regulator and before i installed it i tested it and i got 1 number lower than the other 2. Installed it anyway and my tachometor doesnt work now but its definetly charging. Hooked old 1 up and my tach works but doesnt charge. Is it possible i recieved a faulty regulator or do i have something else going on? Any thoughts? Wiring on this machine all looks new. Looked around and seems to be no visible corrosion
