2” high lifter lift kit

Has anyone tried putting a 2” lift kit from high lifter on a 2018 sportsman 850sp?. I called high lifter and they said the kit for the 1000 will probably fit but they haven’t tried it on the new 850 so they weren’t positive...

2004 Polaris Predator CDI Box

Hey guys,

Background first... My daughters Predator, would die after it got hot. So from past experience, I have seen the stator go out. So I replaced the stator and the coil. And its still the same. When I hit the starter, I get a single spark at the plug and that's it. The only thing left could be the CDI Box I am thinking.

Now searching for a CDI, I find a Polaris ones for $175+ and aftermarket for $15+

What worries me is that the aftermarket ones have an extra blue wire coming out of the bottom. Anyone know what that is for? I called and emailed sellers of these cdi's and non of them can tell me what it is for. They only say that's the way they get them.

Help Please!!

Thanks,

Jess

Best carburetor upgrade / Fix / Dynojet

All,

I have had some issues with my carburated 2005 ATP 500 stalling out while idling it only has 350 miles on it and sat around a lot when the previous owner had it, it idle's normally between 900-1100 rpm's but will drop below and stall out.. I'm going to pull the carburetor off and clean it.

While I have it off Should I install a Dynojet kit? or is there anything else that is better/ worth doing?

Possible Can Am Owner

I am looking at an 2013 Outlander Max XT 400. I have tried doing my due diligence in researching the different manufacturers and models in the price range I want to stay in. I like the idea of a 2-up machine as I have a son who wants to follow me everywhere. Is there anything to shy away from on this model?

Thanks in advance!

Tires for Outlander 450 — 2 Options

HI all,

I have enjoyed reading and learning from everyone on here so far. I have a question on tires for my 450 DPS. Since mine is a 450 I have 25x8 front and 25x10 rear tire size. I am ditching the Trail Wolf's that came on my 450. I am looking at replacing them with either Bighorn 2.0s or Zillas. I want to stay with the original 25" size tire. I have seen that the 2.0s sometimes run true to size and other times are tall whereas the Zillas seem to run small.

If I want an actual 25" tire, would the 2.0s get me there? Would I need 26" Zillas? I was looking at the Zilla's mainly for weight savings to keep the sporty feel, but if I have to go to a 26" tire to get an actual height of 25", then that weight savings is lost compared to the 2.0s.

Most of my use is around the hunting property and honestly, the factory tires were quite sufficient. A couple times a year I hit the Hatfield and McCoy trails and I was not impressed with the Trail Wolfs on those trips last year. I don't go through deep mud if I can help it. The only asphalt riding I do is the 2 trips a year to WV. So, less than 50 miles a year on Asphalt. I'm not too concerned about tire wear, but if the Zillas are horrible on Asphalt, that might be an issue for me. I do like hitting the black trails and outlaw trails and some of the rocks. I know one tire is not great at everything.

I know there are a ton of good tires out there, but for now I am choosing between the 2.0s and the Zillas. So the question is, which tire and should I buy the 25" or 26" to get an actual (or very close) 25" tire height.

Thanks!

Newbie from Arkansas

Hello everyone. I am 72 years old and had to give up my Honda VTX 1800C due to my dropping the bike quite often. They are very top heavy. Anyway, I love not having to balance my new to me 2011 Spyder RTS SE5.
I have two issues with this Spyder. Number one it drifts all over the lanes at high speed and number two, I get terrible fuel mileage. 25 to 26 MPG. Anybody have some solutions I will be grateful.

:smile

Tire Upgrade Advice

Hi All,

I am looking for some advice on changing out the stock tires on my 570XT to something better in the mud. I am really new to the ATV world and have watched a lot of videos of people riding trails and getting into the mud and they seem to have thinner tires with big paddles type treads. I'd prefer to keep the stock rims and just change the tires. Is it worth doing? Thanks in advance for your help.
