Has any body has expirence with offbrand primary clutchs.

I was looking at offbrand primary clutchs for my older sportsman and I was wondering if any body has had any luck with them before. I could get a used one for about 250 but I don't have that much money laying around. I was seeing the offbrand ones for 110 through 130. Any help would be appreciated.

2005 outlander 400

Trying to replace rear cv boot on right side. I was able to get shaft out, but having problems getting cv joints off. There appears to be retainer rings on, that are holding joint on that I cannot figure how to get off. Can anyone recommend a good service manual that would provide step by step instructions? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello from Arizona

Hello group,

Looking forward to researching and learning. We're interested in a new Polaris Sportsman 570. This would be our first ATV. Prior to that, (when I was a bit younger, I had a few dirt bikes). Right now, we have a Jeep Wrangler for some of our off road trips. But lately, I've been thinking of a ATV 2 Up. For Wifey and I to ride about. I have a Ford F-150 that I could haul a future ATV around in the bed.

Any rate, I plan to research here.

TIA for future suggestions and guidance.

regards,

-Jav

Sportsman randomly died, wondering why

Hi,

I have a 2016 Sportsman 570. I was using it a lot today moving firewood. A couple hours in, while I was riding it randomly died on me and the check engine light came on. Had plenty of coolant and the oil looked fine.

I tried restarting it and it made all its normal sounds (i think its the fuel pump) and the starter sound but it wouldn't turn over at all, completely dead. Tried messing with the throttle, opening it up a few times thinking maybe the throttle cable was messed up and still nothing. After that I tried one more time while rocking the ATV back and forth and it started up.

Any idea what could cause this? Id hate for it to die on me again out on the trail and not be able to start it back up...

Thanks

Tires

Can you run the same size tires front and rear. I just bought my first ATVs. Polaris 570. The dealer parts dept doesn’t seem to know much on this subject. There are 12x7 rims stock so he ordered new 12x7’s All the way around with max is bighorn 26x11x12 all the way around. Will they mount and does that’s sound like the tires are Tom wide for those rims.

2008 Polaris Sportsman Bogging

I'm working on an 08 sportsman 300 for some family friends. Checked carb, exhaust, plug ect. Machine won't take throttle but will idle. Thinking maybe it's a compression release issue. Have pulled side and valve covers and engine is still in time. Cam is not wiped. Clearances are in spec. If I choke the back of the carb it will take fuel and throttle up. Thoughts? Only 1400 miles on machine.

Pitbull Growlers on XTP Beadlocks

I am looking to upgrade my stock tires to some Pitbull growlers on my 800 XTP max. I want to keep the stock bead lock wheels. Anyone have any issues with getting the bead lock on properly? I know the bead on the growlers is fairly deep but I have done it on lots of Jeep and other off road tires that have a deep bead without issue. Just need to tighten the bead lock down sequentially in a star pattern I believe. I’m planning on going with the 25.5 x 8x 12 and 25.5 x 10 x 12 6 ply as I don’t want to jeopardize my ride quality or add any interference or excessive extra weight. Any info appreciated. Thanks.
