04 sportsman 500 snorkel

So I'm going to snorkel my quad as I'm looking at it to build my snorkel I see the airbox has a tube going up under my plastics near the gas tank and my intake for the cvt goes in the exact same area
My only issue would be the exhaust cvt
Which had me thinking can I route the exhaust for the cvt into my airbox and be done with it I want a stealth look for my atv
Also I,don't plan on riding in anything over my seat while mudding/riding

Break light partially working

My break light isnt lit when I am driving (it is supposed to be lit) but will turn on when I break. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this? Riding a 2011 OutlanderMax XTP. Thanks

hub seal install

I'm replacing a hub seal on my 1995 300 4x4. The old one was badly damaged so I can't tell which way to put the new one in.

Does the side with the spring visible face out or in? I'm thinking in, but not 100% sure.

2002 Sportsman 400 Fuel Pump and Tank Vent ?’s

So I'm gradually working through the various systems on a 2002 Sportsman that hasn't run in a while. Cleaned carb, but still not running exactly right as you have to keep the chock pulled out. As part of the process I checked the fuel pump and it seemed kind of weak, so I replaced it and all of the fuel lines. During this job I ran across a couple things that I had questions on:

1. What holds the pump to the mount? According to the manual you just take the screws out and note which ones are the two long ones. It came out just fine, but when re-installing the two longer screws go into the holes on the frame, but there doesn't seem to be any threads or anything that they engage with - the screws simply go into the hole in the bracket all the way. Seems like maybe there should be nuts or something on the back side, but I have no idea how you would get to them?

2. Is there supposed to be some type of vent on the tank? When I was replacing the lines I pulled the aux line off the bottom of the tank and there was hardly any fuel coming out. Thought it might be plugged, so I carefully ran a small rod up through there and didn't feel any obstruction. However, when I cracked the cap on the tank fuel began to flow out strongly through the hose from the tank. Close the cap securely and the fuel flow slows/stops. The cap doesn't have a vent w/ hose in the center like my Warriors and MX bikes. I realize they also rely on gravity feed vs. a pump, but seems like even with the pump it is pulling against a vacuum and seem like it would need some type of vent to allow air in as the fuel goes out.

Protecting front brake lines

While putting on he A arm protection I noticed how vulnerable the front brake lines appear.

Anyone have any tips on protecting them?

Anyone know of anyone actually ripping them off?
