Xplorer 300 electrical?

So my battery went. Removed it to get a new one and in the meantime I pull started it and ran it with no battery in place.

The headlight blew immediately, then it would only run for maybe 1 or 2 minutes before it slowly would lose engine power and die.

It would be tough to start, but if it sat you could pull start it again, then it would only run for a short period of time.

Before I throw parts at it, do you think I blew the coil or does it just need the battery in place?

07 outlander 800 black smoke

So we just put a new rebuilt 800 motor in an 07 800. The old motor tossed the crank.... the rebuilt motor was for that year bike, identical, and built by a repubal builder.. .. we plumbed it in with all the old stuff... sensors, injectors and what not. Start it and it runs great but put a significant amount of black smoke out the exhaust.... we thought it was just clearing out assembly lube at first but it hasnt cleared up after an hour or so of run time... it has to be over fuelling ? Plugs are new, filter is new, could the o2 sensor be bad ? Would maybe getting the computer reflashed help ? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Real lift for any sportsman with MacPherson strut front end

Now im asking this as a proof of concept. But with these 4 wheelers all you can buy as a kit is around 2 inches of lift. If your bold you can make 4 inches or so happen . but what I'm talking about is actually making a real lift kit for one. You cant go down any more than 4 inches the angles on everything are not great anyways . but basically it comes down to this . you have to take into account as follows. = CV axle length , control arm length and tie rod length . it seems to me if you could source or make longer axles , extend the control arms and tie rods whats stopping you from running a 6 inch lift or bigger on one of these machines

Next Generation Outlanders

Does anyone have an idea when Can Am will be introducing a next generation Outlander being the current generation hasn’t been extensively overhauled since 2012?
