800 delayed throttle response

Hi guys,

We've had some extremely cold weather here in PA over the last few weeks. I was plowing recently and had the low battery indicator. I figured the plow was drawing a lot of voltage but it never shut down on me. While I was plowing I noticed a significant loss in power. I would be on the throttle and it wouldn't respond until a few seconds later causing me to take off. I would describe it as a sluggish feeling. Other times I'll get on the throttle and it won't do anything. I thought that maybe it was the weather or my battery.

The battery was installed last winter and the connections are secure. The weather finally hit over 50 today so I fired the quad up and it is still continuing to have that delay in the throttle and very low power so it's not the cold weather.

Any idea what is wrong with it?

solenoid question

2006 polaris sportman X2 re previous post about only one wheel turning no matter what mode bike is in, on mud snow only right rear wheel turns, shaft to front gear does not turn either. Question??? can someone tell me what the solenoid in rear end (Part No 3235478) is supposed to do.??????

Has My UTV Transmission Gone Bad?



Has my UTV transmission gone bad? That’s what one of our readers wants to know about his squealing Polaris Ranger and he’s asked the ATV AnswerMan for help.

Here is exactly what reader Jadie asked the AnswerMan, followed by his response:

My brothers 2014 popo ranger hunting rig is making awful noise and we cannot figure out why. It sounds like the transmission is broken or breaking and when running down the highline or water break roads during duck season it just squeals so loud and it seems like it is right under the seat. I think it even shakes a bit but we have big tires on for mud so I am not really sure. Sometimes when he backs up it sounds like there is gravel in the transmission. Do you think the motor or transmission is bad? The motor oil was changed and is good and the transmission has enough in it too. We need help fast because it is going to be spring soon.

Polaris Trailblazer 330 HP?

Looking at a Trailblazer 330 to pull a ballfield drag and reel mower for a church. Seller said they thought it was around 30HP. Can't find official specs anywhere but a lot of info points to 16-18HP. Can anyone clarify or point us in the direction of official specs? Thank you

High voltage and batt/speedo flashing

2013 500 sportsman. Bought it new and about 8 months after it was purchased the battery and speedo needle started flashing sometimes. Most times they would stop flashing at higher RPM. still started and ran fine but the battery didnt last long after that. Put a new AGM battery in and no change. That battery lasted about 9 months. Went with a better brand this time and still no change so I decided to check voltage. Before install the battery was 12.5v. At idle it reads 16.7v and at 3000 rpm it reads 17.6v. Thats too much from what i have read. I am guessing it is the voltage regulator. Tomorrow I will find it and test it and report my findings. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

From Honda to Can Am

Hi everyone, I’m in Ohio with a 2017 Renegade 850xxc, ride Hatfield McCoy Trails in West Virginia. Second Can Am, sorry Honda never going back.
