TPS fails on 07 Ranger 700. NO error codes are present. The UTV starts and does not respond to throttle. Replaced TPS, UTV runs great for a very short time and failure returns. Polaris warrantied the TPS, replaced, worked great again for very short period then became unresponsive again.

NO error codes present at all. I haven't peeled back and and inspected the entire harness, but wiring looks good at TPS/harness connection and all places on UTV that are usually places of failure and breakage. I would think wiring to be the prime culprit, but visual inspection shows wiring in very good condition. They install and dial-in easily. but then stop working. I even had the dealer re-flash the computer. Battery new and fully charged.

What would cause these TPS failures?

Ok I am trying to find aftermarket accessories for my 2013 outlander max 400 efi xt 2 up, when I do searches it days all but 400 what does that mean. Looking to crossreference for parts fit. I'm my machine

How do I test the 4x4 on an 04 sportsman 700? I jacked the front end up and spun the tires and it is the same with the switch engaged or disengaged. I pulled the front cover and checked where the control plugs in to the wire that goes to the transfer case and it gets power when I flip the switch on the handle bars.

Well I've had these stock act radial tires that came on my bike and have to say...NOT BAD... I've had them in sand gravel, mud, rocks, creek crossings, hard packed and a good 8" of snow and they have performed pretty darn well for a tire that's still smooth to ride, wears well,doesn't shake the b-jeeses out of me when clipping along, sheds the mud and works better than just ok in all different terrains...I'd buy them again...:grin

My wife rolled her 450L a while back and bent the handlebars. Any suggestions on what to replace them with? They are what not to replace them with.

New member here. Hope I'm doing this right cause I sure need some help.

Bought a 2004 Bombardier Quest Max 650 with only 92 miles on it. Original owner told the guy I bought it from that he never used it much so when it lost spark, he put it in the back of his shop and forgot about it. I thought I scored a huge deal on an awesome machine.

Everything seems perfect except like the guy said, there's NO SPARK. Downloaded an awesome tech manual and started troubleshooting. From testing it and every other electrical component, I'm positive my CDI box is bad. Took it off and its been opened up and repaired before. Not sure when or who did that but it ticked me off when I found it. Oh well, just need to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Here's the problem. Tried every local dealer around and they can't get one. Spent days searching the internet and I can't find a replacement anywhere.Can't even find one on Ebay. Called FullertonsPAC in Canada and they basically said its over 10 years old so Bombadier/Can Am don't produce replacements anymore.
I can't believe I have a like new machine that's un-useable because of a CDI box.Thought I'd get on the form and see if anyone could help.

MFG# 710000625-12370.
It says DENSO 071000-1840 on the actual CDI box.
4 pins on one connection, 6 on the other.

Anyone know where I can get a new or used one or maybe how to hack this one?
Any other CDI that might work with it?

My BRP aluminum trailing arm skid plates were constantly bending and I'd get hung up on trail obstacles other quads were going through. I removed the guards and put the plastic cv boot protectors back on and immediately noticed I didn't get stuck anymore.

The aluminum guards are designed with a large "ear" that hangs down lower than the trailing arm. That ear acted as a scoop and the only function I saw for this extra part was to provide enough surface area for the Can-Am logo.

I took a leap and sawzalled my guards... sorry Can-Am, the logo was catching more than eyes...

I drilled a 3/8" hole at the intersection of my cuts to prevent stress fracturing and filed the edges smooth before I re-installed the guards.

So far I'm pleased with my results. Haven't gotten hung up in 50 miles of mud, snow and ruts filled with roots and broken ice.
