Wiring HARNESS REPLACEMENT

I have a 2016 570 Sportsman I bought new in Sept 2016. I began having issues with stalling and overheating and high RPM's. I took it in Aug. 25 to have it looked at. The Dealer said it would be at least a week before they could look at it. After a week and a half they called and said it needed a new wiring harness. He said it has happened to a few 570's that this has happened to due to the wires rubbing on a piece of metal and shorting out. I bought the extended warranty so it was covered.

A week later I called for an update. He said he was waiting for Polaris to et the part. Fast forward to Sept 25 and I still don't have the bike. Im going on a 4 day ATV ride oct 2 and I need the bike. I call dealer again and with no concern in his voice the service manager says, "We've had our bike over 4 weeks, let me make some calls". I explain to him about the trip and I NEED this bike this week. He calls back and says the part is in and he will have it ready before the weekend. Today, exactly 5 weeks later, I finally get the bike back, with one brake light not working. Is it common for it to take 5 weeks to get something like this fixed? The service manager blamed Polaris for not getting the right part.

CV Boots Tore

Hello All, was just wondering what is the best CV boot for the Renegade? I've replaced an outer one already with a new BRP one and now I have an inner one that separated in the groove also. I know with both I didn't hit anything, as I've got Ricochet Skids protecting them and they're not tore, just separated in the groves. Thanks in advance!!!

First extended trip- overheating

Hello. Just got back from 15 days in the woods chasing elk.

Defender worked well. However, one "gremlin" showed up a few days into my hunt.

While driving on decent FS roads, I had no issues. 20+ mph. However, when I moved onto smaller, somewhat rougher roads where my speed was reduced, say 12-15 mph, Hi Temp warning light came on.

Radiator is clean. Fan turns freely when I checked with my hand. Coolant level was full. I checked the fuse, however, it's a solid fuse, so I can't visually see if it was blown.

I think the cooling fan is not kicking on. I ran it on idle in camp and within 20 minutes, the Hi Temp warning appeared again. I never heard the cooling fan kick on.

Is it possible the cooling fan has failed aready after less than 100 miles? I'm a bit surprised and was frustrated a bit. Was afraid to drive it and pretty much was regulated to just driving major FS roads. Otherwise, it sat at camp for the most part as I didn't want to be stranded miles from camp. :sad

Anything else I should check before driving the 35 miles to dealership.

Thanks.

Another Engine Suddenly Quits Post

I have a 2004 Ranger that is acting strange. When driving the engine quits suddenly. No sputtering, just quits. If its rolling I only have to turn the key off then on and it restarts. If stopped, I turn the key and engage the starter motor and it starts again. I've replaced the fuel pump and it didn't help. I've checked the wires to the key switch. Any ideas?

starving for fuel after warming up on a 2004 quest xt

I have a 2004 quest xt that has issues after warming up and running for some time. It just bogs down as if starving for fuel. Will shutoff and to restart need to leave choke on full and the engine will run until choke is push in and it dies again. Any help would be appreciated. Have changed the fuel pump and checked out the reserve/off/tank switch. Can see no issues with the rubber membrane between the engine and the carb. Drained the carb. Cleaned the air filter and reoiled. How does one know if the air filter is bad?

900RZR engine rebuild

Today we received a 2011 RZR 900 engine for remanufacture/rebuild from a great group of people at a Polaris dealer in Tennessee.
This one has cracked cases, bearing journal damage, bent crank balance shaft, rod damage, ect
We will be posting pics of the process start to finish so you can see we do it right the first time.
