2007 Polaris Sportsman idle issue

Hello everyone!

First time on the Polaris atv forum. I wanted to inquire from fellow owners on a solution to a ongoing problem I'm having with my 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO that has stumped me.

A few weeks ago out of nowhere my atv started idling funny. So I checked the tachometer and it showed it fluctuating from 1290 RPMs down to 900 and back. If I pressed the throttle however it had zero issues and ran perfect at full power. However as soon as I let off the throttle and go back to idle it begins running rough and even occasionally stalling.

Now I've done a fair amount of research on the issue, so I did the logical thing and started troubleshooting possible problems. Here's a list of what I've ruled out so far:

- Replaced IAC harness with new ModQuad harness (old harness and wires were chewed up)

-Raplaced IAC sensor with new one

- Replaced Fuel filter

- New UNI air filter

-Cleaned T-MAP sensor

-Checked fuel pump (working)

- Checked spacing on throttle (in spec)

-New Iridium plug

As of now I've replaced everything I could think of that might be the culprit and yet I'm still having idling issues. I noticed that when it starts up the first few minutes it runs perfect no idling issues whatsoever. However after the bikes fully warmed up and running for awhile it starts stuttering and the idle goes back to being erratic. What else could be contributing to this issue? I'm out of ideas unless the t-map sensor is bad? I open to any suggestions!

Thanks!

’17 Outlander 1000xtp Shift P-R-N-D issue

I have a 2017 Outlander 1000xtp. I am having an issue where I have to rock the machine back and forth to get it into park. This is a pain when in the back of pickup. If the atv is running and you go from park to reverse the machine jerks/moves slightly. The same thing happens when you go from Neutral to drive.Machine has around 300 miles maybe less.

My prior machine was a 2016 renegade 1000r and it never had this issue.

The machine is currently getting its first service done and they said that they did not notice an issue. How can the machine jerking when you put it into gear not be an issue. This happens at any engine temp when at idle. Not sure if the service fixed it since I will not be picking it up until Saturday.

Is there something I should have them check?? I know its not normal because my renegade didn't do it and it was the same motor and trans.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Luis

chest waders

hey guys, I have been looking for a decent pair of chest waders for awhile now and looked on Canadian tire, Cabelas and a few other places and I came across a brand online called Gator Waders. they look decent, and wondering if anyone has tried them out or any brands of waders they live by.

Thanks

Air fuel mixture

Hello
I'm new to the forum. I found this site searching form my problem. Looks like a awesome site.

Anyway I am rebuilding my carb on a 03 sportsman 500 ho. After days of soaking and heating I finally got my mixture screw out. I need a replacement screw. Does anyone know where I can get one? I searched all over the web. I don't think any of the diagrams even show it. The only place I havent made it to yet is a dealer.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

New design DPS motor

Any body notice for the 2018 model year the power steering motor has been redesigned. Wondering if its better than the previous motor for hard or no assist at idle or stop.
Also wondering if you can convert to the new style when needing a new motor.

Time frame for 2018 Rebates?

I see that Can Am currently has the yellow tag event for 2017 and older models. I'm looking at getting a Renegade 850 in the spring based on past history does Can Am usually have any deals running at this time? I know I can get the financing and I know the dealership I am going to ( they sell for less than MSRP ) but I want to save as much as I can but I dont want to wait months to do so either. So with that said does Can Am usually have a set time on when they offer rebates or yellow tag events?

5 Ways To Improve Your Polaris RZR Suspension

If you own a Polaris RZR and want to take it to the next level, look to the suspension. Here are 5 ways to improve your Polaris RZR suspension.

There are an awful lot of Polaris RZRs out there bombing down the trails, slamming over the dunes, blasting across the deserts and screaming along just about anywhere a Side-by-Side can go. These are some great machines and ones that definitely have made a major impact on the sport as we know it. They’re fast, fun and extremely good. But are they perfect? While they may be perfect for some, others may find areas that could stand some improvement.

One area that gets some attention from the aftermarket is the suspension. While stock Polaris RZR suspension is extremely good for all-around use, more adept drivers may find they need more. Luckily there is a wide range of ways to improve the suspension on your RZR.

CVTECH Primary Clutch gen 1 800

Does anyone have any current info on the CVTECH Primary? Most of my research was from threads several years old. I have an 07 outlander 800 XT HO. It has full exhaust, muzzy digituner and ITP 589 27" wheels (pretty heavy). It has a dalton spring kit in it currently and it's pretty fast but will never wheelie in high gear. My buddy has a stock 08 800 xt and he has had 25" and 26" tires on his. Mine feels faster but is heavier and has some mods done. CVTECH is half the price of everything else for a full Primary and I'm mostly doing trail riding. I'd like more get up and go but will not do any more mods (BBK, etc). Will this be a big improvement over the dalton springs and will my engine braking not be affected?
