Has anybody rebuilt the rear differential? I am having a hell of a time removing the nut on the pinion, even used heat.
Power washing
It says in the Manual not to Power Wash but its so hard to get all the mud of with a garden hose. Does anyone use a power washer and what PSI and soap do you use? Also does anyone use Foam Cannon?
01 sportsman 90. Top end question.
I have a 01 polaris sportsman 90cc 2stroke that has been sitting awhile, and when I tried to start it I got a whole porta crank, but no start. So I checked all the switches and engine kills, and all are in good working order. Checked for spark, and I have spark. Checked for fuel (using 32:1 premix since I don't know if the oil pump is working yet) fuel is getting to the carb. I skipped over cleaning the carb since a new one is $20, and checked compression, and it had none. Ordered a top end kit replaced it and now has 58psi of compression. Still low seeing as it is possible to get faulty parts even if new I ordered another set under warranty, and same thing. I have also replaced the reed valve and gaskets for good measure. What am I missing here?

Early 02 Sportsman 700 Front CV Boot Replacement
Well my quest to get this thing all squared away continues. As some of you have seen from my other posts, I've kept myself busy with this thing. Next thing on the list is replacing the front CV boots. They are both ripped in half. I have the early model 02 that uses the u joint type axle for the inner.
I've been able to accomplish more than I ever thought possible with the help of this forum and YouTube videos. I've watched several videos on the replacement of CV boots, but have yet to find much information on my style of axle. My main question is on the best process to do this. Do I remove the entire axle somehow or is it separated some other way? I've seen many a post about different snap rings and needing to remove them before it can be separated and other posts that say to just go after it with a BFH.
Thanks for all of the advice!

A week and a half ago it was 92 degrees. For the last week, we've had high's in the 50's. Today.........
