New Can Am Owner

Hello. I'm from Windsor Nova Scotia Canada. Just picked up a 2013 650 outlander max xt. New to me. Bike is mint though surprisingly it has 4500 miles on it.

It's such an incredible machine. I've only ever had an eye for Honda till I laid eyes on this. Miles have me worried a little. I'm a worrier! This is only my second quad. First in 17 years. My last was a Honda 300. A tank. But it beat the crap outta me.

Im pretty handy. No mechanic but I do a lot of work myself. I hope to buy a service manual and get a lifetime out of this beauty. I have a plow conning for it as well for the heck of it.....my other plow is a 1989 Massey Ferguson 2640 4x4. Lol. Kinda so big it's silly.

Anyway. I ramble. Pleased to be a part of this group and looking forward to learning about these amazing machines.

Hi All! Been lurking for a while and picked up couple Sportsman 570 for the wife and I.

2008 Polaris Sportsman 300 4X4

I recently purchased the Polaris and have no manual. I would like to replace all the fluids, can anyone
give me some info on what to use. Oil, tranny, differential, brakes.

2012 Polaris sportsman 850xp engine

My buddy had some mice pack his air box full of cat food. First time he turned it over it sucked the cat food into the engine. Yup time for a new one to the tune of $4500.00 dealer installed. He wants to sell the old one. Cases are good. Dealer removed the head and removed the cam but reinstalled the head with just a few bolts. Cam is in a bag. Looks like maybe the timing gear came off the crank so I don't know if internals are ok or not. It had around 1400 miles on it when the mice attacked. He wants $400.00 for it but won't ship it. 2003 Rally Carb issues

It will idle.... sort of.... but when I rev it up, its stumbles and dies. It has been sittin for a couple years. I pulled the bowl off and gave it a good cleaning. No luck. Does it need a rebuild kit?

New fuel pump installed….

2015 bought new with 215 hours on it. Polaris wanted $380 for a whole pump assembly. I ordered a CNT pump off amazon for $59. I unsoldered the connections and
re soldered the new pump in. Primed it 6 times and it fired right up. Power is back. The OEM pump was a Bosch made in China. I hope this will be the end of these issues. To be continued.....

Shock issues

I have a 2017 renegade xxc 850. I've tried what it seems every single possible shock set up. My issue is my front I have set about as stiff as I believe the shocks can be set. Rebound slow and fast shock settings and also the spring is about as tight as it has to go. Jumping whoops and landing on bumps it still seems to wanna bottom out. What else can I do? Also the back shocks on my wheeler I have loosened every single thing to the softest setting I possibly can and my rear end is whicked stiff. Stiff like if I push down on it with my body weight it bairly compresses. Makes it ride harder then a lumber wagon on our rough pennsylvania trails. It also doesn't seem to rebound very well even having the rebound adjusted fast. Any one got any good info? I know everyone rides different and everyone enjoys the suspension set up differently. I'm just looking for a base line to help fix my issues
