I am a new member. I ride a Polaris sportsman 1000 2015. Have had various Polaris atv,s since 2002. Primary use,now that I'm older,is hunting and use around farm. I am asking for help with my 1000,I started it up road maybe 100 yards and I shut it off for maybe 2 hours. Went back to start and it will start and run for maybe 3 seconds then shuts off. All guages go off winch will not work lights will not work until you turn key off and back on and it does the same thing. I can turn key on and lights work winch works gauge lights work until you start and it will run maybe 3 seconds and here we go again. Has new gas full. Have had my battery tested,it's fully charged. Any ideas please. Thank you

polaris 750 sportsman hard to shift in gear or out { WHY ? }:|:|

Just picked up a 2002 Sportsman 700 today. The previous owner stated he had replaced the front diff cage and bearings along with a tune up. It needs the boot between the air box and carb replaced too. So far I've run into an issue with the 4WD not engaging. The light in the switch lights up but thats about all I can tell is happening. The speedo lights up, reads the correct gear and toggles through hours and miles with no problem. Of course the P.O. didn't have any manuals so still trying to figure out the different settings in the speedometer too. As far as the 4WD, is there a good way to test if the right front speed sensor is working or if there is a way to test the wires to the front diff? Other things to check while I'm in there?

Hello my friends from all over the world...im begining to loose my mind because i dont know what to do...i have 2016 stock limited edition outlander 1000R, the only thing changed is exhaust slipon for yoshi.

My shiftout at Low is around 7200 7250...i also hit rev limiter...

My shiftout on High is waaay to low! Its around 6800 when it should be around 7300-7500 for best peak performance...

I can feel the lack of power and ive burned 1 belt already because of that...it just doesnt get the revs high enough to pull strong...


Im turning to all you atv users...to help me and others out...

Atv was bought new in January...it has 2500 miles trail riden only...

I just got done installing the Heat Demon by Symtec heated hand grips and thumb warmer.

I was able to just removed my stock grips and reinstall after the warmers were installed to the bars. Here isa video I throw together of me installing them.

Below I have attached a photo of my current issue.

I bought a 2010 Sportsman 800 to hold me over until I pick up a new 850 or 1000. It had a lift kit on it (I know, I didn't want this but the deal was right). First thing I did was remove the lift kit and order new bolts the correct length for the rear sway bar (go through top into the links).

As you can see, there is a gap, which would lead me to believe that my sway bar is currently doing nothing.

Anyone see what the issue is? Thanks.
