How to tell timing needs to be done

2012 OUTLANDER 1000 259 Hours 2644 Miles
Not beat on , change engine oil ,Clean Air Filter, front & rear Diff , Trans/Gear Box oil ON TIME , several times
I just want to know how to know if the timing needs to be checked
Since new there's been a very very low ticking that I believe is normal.
Had initial 10 hour dealership oil change complete go over.
YOU KNOW DEALERSHIPS on Long Island NY want to just RAPE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU HERE.
Bike has tons of power and runs Great but just want to know , anything I need to be aware of. ( Slight bit of play in steering column) and watch all play in front end.
Thank you very much for any and all your Guidance.

2014 maverick 1000 Clutch problem. NEED HELP

My maverick is almost what id call jumpy when I go to take off, it jerks and bucks when I take off but is fine once I'm up to 20 mph or so. It also will smoke my belts when I'm in a mud hole or going up a steep grade from take off. I know it has something to do with my clutches, bought a new belt last month and its doing the same thing. What do I need to buy to fix this thing? Going on a big trip in the next few weeks and could really use some help! Thanks!

Trailer Side load tire bonnets?

Anyone have experience running tire bonnets with side loaded machines?
I like the idea of tire bonnets to hold the machines down, just wondering how the suspension likes this in side load configurations.
I am one of them people that like to make sure things are secure. Right now I use 4 ratchet straps, one on each corner.
I am planing on modifying the trailer with dedicated tie down locations, just need to decide how I want to tie it down.

brand new outlander xt 850 being a pig

gday there.
I recently picked up a new 2016 outlander xt 850.
when I first rolled it off the trailer and took it for a squirt, it was responsive and fast reaching 100km/h easily.
it sat in my shed for a few weeks until I could next take it out, when I did (second ride) it seemed like it was running very rich, i struggled to get 75km/h out of it and its throttle response was sluggish compared to its first ride. I had the black performance key in and was very un impressed with its performance.

any tips on what might be happening here?
the thing has only 45km on it and about 5 engine hours, waaaaaay to early for me to be searching for issues on it I would have thought.

any help would be greatly appreciated
