Trying to identify where this fuel line goes, please help!

Hey everyone, I am working on this 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500, there is a line coming out the bottom of the carb, but I can't figure out where the fuel line connects to. It has a filter and a rubber boot on it, otherwise i would assume its some kind of drain. It comes straight out the bottom of the carb, then there is a filter, and another fuel line off the filter with a rubber boot on the end of it. I don't see it anywhere in the service manual, or any photos online. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everybody : )

Missing hose on engine

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a 2006 Polaris Sportsman EFI as a fixer up er. In the process of fixing it up I noticed that every time I started the it up that the header/exhaust manifold was smoking as a result of being in contact with oil. Initially I assumed the oil was leaking from the header.

After further investigation that was not the case. The culprit is what appears to be a missing oil outlet hose of some sort, that is spraying engine oil directly on the header. The "Oil outlet" (for lack of a better name) is right above the oil pump inlet and out let hoses. (see attached picture)

If anyone has any idea what might be missing or what that outlet might be i would greatly appreciate the help!

2004 Sportsman 500, Where does this fuel line go?

Hey everyone, I'm working on a late 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500. I have a long list of repairs that it needs, but right off the bat i noticed a fuel line that comes out of the bottom of the carb was leaking. The line is just cracked and needs to be changed which is very simple. But where I am getting hung up a little bit is the fact that the line has a filter, and a rubber boot at the other end that makes me think it needs to be attached to something. In my service manual and all the photos I've seen I can't see where the line goes to after it leaves the bottom of the carb. Anyone ran into this before? Where the heck does this thing go? I would have just assumed it was a drain, if the filter and the boot were not there. But because of that I think it has a job. Anyway, I am fixing this quad up for a neighbor and need to make sure everything is just right. If you all could let me know what you think I would appreciate it greatly! Thanks!

New user here to spread the word!

Hello everyone at PolarisATV forums!

I'm here to get the word out about BeadBuster, and share general knowledge on tire changing methods.

My background is in technology, but my interest has always been offroad rides. When I was a kid, everything I did was on 2 wheels. Now I own mostly 4 wheeled fun. Lately my projects have been broken ATV's that I buy and fix up. It's a good way to get my hands dirty after an 8 hour day behind a keyboard.

I have a lot of experience changing my own tires from bikes to ATV's and many things in between. I look forward to helping make your next tire project much easier, and getting to know the community in the process.

Hello Can-Am forum!

I joined up to help the guys at BeadBuster spread the word about tire changing methods.

I’m a network engineer who uses mechanical work as an escape from my 8-5 keyboard based job. I have been into offroad stuff my whole life, starting on 2 wheels and now mostly on 4. Most recently I have been buying/fixing junked and blown up ATV’s. That involves some tire work on almost every project, and that’s where the BeadBuster product comes in.

I look forward to chatting with the community about how we can make your life easier if you decide to change your own tires!

That's not German engineering!

That’s no VW bug, that’s another insane custom Polaris RZR from the minds at Rugged Radios. From the metal flake paint to the custom PRP seats, this RZR screams beach buggy and in our opinion, it’s one of the coolest custom builds we’ve seen from Rugged Radios to date. Check out this cool walk around video from the gang at Side by Side Stuff.
